Delete Fails WP:GNG due to lack of notability._{ZXCVBNM (TALK)} 10:52, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. (1) Per ATD, PRESERVE and R we do not delete pages that are plausible redirects with mergeable content. The worst case scenario for this is simply a merge/redirect to J R R Tolkien's book. (2) There are independent etc sources in GBooks providing commentary on this character. In view of the amount of coverage Tolkien has received, I would not be surprised if this satisfied GNG.
