Musical group of questionable notability, possible COI/self-promotion. While there are claims of notability, the references are unclear - the ESPN link does not mention the band, and the search function at that link shows zero returns. The other references are either passing mentions, primary sources, or an interview with one bandmember, not the group. TheRealFennShysa (talk) 14:42, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- I can't lie and say that I'm not in the group (considering the username). However I believe the band fulfills notability under criteria 5 "Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of whom are notable).". Dirty Filthy Mugs' has released 1 full length album, 1 7" single, and has another album forthcoming on DC-Jam Records, which fulfills criteria #5 (DC-Jam is an indie label which has been around for several years, and has a roster of extremely notable performers.) I should also mention that yesterday, ESPN licensed a song by Dirty Filthy Mugs for their Big Air Bash, which has a video available here: ESPN Big Air Bash

- Userify until at least forthcoming album release.--rahaeli (talk) 22:18, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete (without prejudice) - Sorry, but it's too early in the band's career for an encyclopedic article. I searched for coverage of the band and found some gig announcements and very minor mentions of collaborations with other artists, but this article cannot yet stand on its own because the band is only semi-noteworthy due to connections with others. If the upcoming album gets noticed by the outside world, and if the band gets covered in reliable sources as a stand-alone entity, then maybe there will be something to work with in the future. But for now, Wikipedia is not for advance promotion. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 16:07, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
