Comment: Think this ought to be Redirected as per policy on things to consider before AfD. Have left a comment to this effect on Wikipedia:WikiProject_Engineering#Issues_of_ongoing_concern as they are better position to tackle this. Comment: As I remarked on the Project Endineering page: This is a registered trade mark, so really ought, I think, be redirected to Selective laser sintering to help readers who search on either 'DMD' or Direct metal deposition . The technique it depends on however is call Direct laser powder deposition and I don't seem to be able to find that. So maybe that needs a mention. I am out of date on this technology. In my day, we had to make do with spaying metal or carbides through a hot plasma arc. This is an important technique of adding material to where one need it. I haven't voted here since wiki-lawers like to point out that AfD's nominations shouldn't be applied until after a 'Redirect' has been at least considered as one of the options -which they tell me is clearly stated in black and white somewhere in the AfD policy.
