According to the BLP guidelines, "All BLPs created after March 18, 2010 must have at least one source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article, or it may be proposed for deletion", and while this article may have that going for it the subject has two movies that lack articles here, a questionable affair in the article body, and lastly but arguably most importantly, no apparent notability for inclusion on Wikipedia. I therefore put to the community the issue of whether this article should be deleted or not. TomStar81 (Talk) 13:00, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete No evidence of notability. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:55, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note. Kudos to TomStar81 for an even-handed nomination. Inspired by vague considerations of WP:CSB, I've added one solitary reference to the article. it's not hard to find others by searching for "Daniel Thorbecke". Whether they amount to notability by our standards I will leave others to decide, but will observe that our coverage of film-making in the Cabo Verde archipelago is not so extensive that we can lightly discard an addition to it. • Comment. I'm unable to ascertain whether this is the same person as the Daniel Thorbecke who played the lead role in the 1982/83 Konrad aus der Konservenbüchse (translated at IMDb as Konrad the Factory-Made Boy). BFI. That led me to a page on the film at Filmportal.de, which lists him as having directed a 1996 experimental short called The Dreamer. Moritzgeschichten appears to be another child role by the same actor. If these are two halves of the same person's career, it widens the field for potential sources considerably and the lead role in Konrad might put him over the top. But I can't nail down whether it's the same person. He doesn't appear to have an official site. Yngvadottir (talk) 16:15, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - I'd just delete. No obvious direct coverage. If we're having trouble identifying the works he's actually responsible for, he's likely not notable. NickCT (talk) 18:37, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
