A motivational speaker. The sources are all based on press releases surrounding a single event, winning a competition on which we have no article. WP:BLP1E and WP:ANYBIO fail. Guy (Help!) 18:23, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • However, I do think that the Toastmasters International#Public speaking championship could support an article. Competitors worldwide get INDEPTH coverage every year just for winning a local competiton and attending, and the champion always gets regional, national, and often international coverage, albeit the name of the competitions often shortened to phrases like: world speaking contest.E.M.Gregory (talk) 19:37, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete concur with nom, lacks significant coverage in multiple independent reliable secondary sources - fails WP: ANYBIO. Dan arndt (talk) 09:10, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • keep my WP:BEFORE search brought up a good number of bluechip sources spread over several years, including the article from The Hindu that I added to the article, note that this is not a local source since subject is form Sri Lanka, not India, but it is not paywalled and contains bio material from which this article can be expanded.E.M.Gregory (talk) 19:15, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: nn as either "keynote speaker, trainer [or] HRD specialis". The 2014 Toastmasters International World Champion of Public Speaking award is not significant and well known, and there's nothing better. Just a promotional directory listing. • Delete per K.e.coffman. I was the southwestern U.S. spades champion in college. Doesn't make me notable, either.—Chowbok 02:36, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It would, of course, depend on how much press coverage your bridge games got. Which would, in part, perhaps depend on whether you were the first American to win a game of spades. You might not have noted that Hettiarachchi was the first Asian to win this contest, or known what a big deal these contests are in east and south Asia. Honestly, I had no idea until I stumbled into this and ran some searches. E.M.Gregory (talk) 21:34, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
