The result was keep. Valid doubts about notability have been raised, but ultimately enough sourcing has been added to confirm that she's certainly had fairly significant roles in multiple productions, and it appears to me that the lack of English-language sources is the main reason contribution to this article has been sparse. The article at the moment is brief but does not seem to present any particular WP:BLP concerns, so in the absence of a strong argument against her notability it appears there's a rough consensus to keep it. ~ mazca talk 09:52, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can't see much notability. An actress that has played a few minor roles. JetBlast (talk) 12:54, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Excuse me, but this is only your opinion. She is a well known actress with thirteen-year career. She participated in more famouses series (Compañeros, 7 vidas, Los misterios de Laura...) and TV programs (two years in El Intermedio) and protagonized a mini-serie (Alfonso, el príncipe maldito). You can't say that she isn't relevant. You can't put an article on the "death row" for the sole reason that your personal opinion says that it is "irrelevant".--EeuHP (talk) 13:29, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"(...) if you belive that" no. You have not justified the reason for its decision. I have provided evidence of major projects in which she has participated and refute their supposed "irrelevance".
But let's play game of the assumptions. What did Cristina Peña? Thirteen-year career? Cast member on two very famous TV series? Collaborating for two years of a successfull television program? Protagonist of a mini-series? You say that all this curriculum are irrelevant. Why? Because you say that it is irrelevant. And I'm supposed to wait a week for your pleasure.--EeuHP (talk) 14:21, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. There were plenty of sources out there. They were in Spanish, which is why JetBlast might have missed them. Playing devil's advocate for both sides, the original state of the article is rough and while it did list some roles, we didn't have enough on there to verify how major the roles are. We have a lot of actors and actresses that list that they were in major shows for years, yet their roles were along the lines of walk on roles and one-off performances. (In other words, non-major and non-important roles.) We need more than just the assertion that they were in these shows- we need coverage in reliable sources. HOWEVER, at the same time, I do think that there could have been more work put into cleaning up the article and looking for sources before bringing it to AfD. I really hope I don't sound rude by saying this, as this isn't my intention, but if you can't read the language and you don't have a translation program on your computer, then it's better to ask someone who can to help translate. If you're uncomfortable asking one user for whatever reason, you can always ask for help at WP:SPAIN or WP:MEXICO for assistance in translation. Even WP:PORTUGAL or WP:BRAZIL is good in a pinch, although Portugese is somewhat different in several ways than Spanish. (It's close enough to where someone fluent in Portuguese could help give you a rough estimate of what the article says, though.) It can take a week, but there is usually someone on there willing to help. It's OK if you're frustrated with the translation difficulties and Google Translate isn't being helpful, but a little more digging has brought up enough to show that she's notable. - Keep... with conditions - I'm on the fence about this one. EeuHP has made a case that she has worked for 13 years on "major projects" in the field of acting, but that alone doesn't warrant her own article. If my uncle Joey worked for thirty years for the most important missile contractor in the US, that doesn't mean he gets his own article. Further, it's not up to anyone to prove that a an article subject is NOT notable, rather the burden is on EeuHP (and other contributors) to establish why she IS notable. The lead sentence, for example, doesn't establish what she is known for, a la:
What kind of press coverage has the actor received? Have any well-known Latin American television and movie reviewers praised her for captivating performances? Has she won any major awards? So I vote for keep, with the condition that EeuHP (and other contributors) please establish her notability a little stronger. And EeuHP, I might recommend toning down the hostility a little bit. Saying things like "I'm supposed to wait a week for your pleasure" isn't going to make people want to help you. The rules aren't that difficult. The AfD process lasts about a week or so to give people enough time to voice their opinions. Save a copy of the article on your hard drive, and if it gets deleted, make improvements and try again at WP:AFC. There's no need to take this stuff so personally.
