Comment. Embassies and consulates are sometimes located in historic buildings or buildings of particular architectural merit. They may also be built to resist explosions and earthquakes better than other buildings in their city. So it would be worthwhile to look for references about the building where this consulate is located, including the Indian equivalent of the National Register of Historic Places.
