Subject does not meet notability threshold under GNG or JOURNALIST. He was merely one of many, many, many local US on-air talents for TV news/sports/weather. Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 19:07, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep per substantial coverage in reliable independent sources and for being part of the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame. FloridaArmy (talk) 00:51, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Subject of significant coverage in reliable sources. - Hirolovesswords (talk) 03:31, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The substantial coverage contained in the article are mainly related to his death. Almost all of the refs are obits. Also, being part of the a Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame is not a ticket to notability. Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 17:22, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep -- Easily passes GNG. Aside from the references in the article which, contrary to nom's argument are just fine for meeting notability requirements whether or not they're obits, there are plenty of other sources. For instance, here's a review of a book published by the University Press of New England entitled The Golden Age of Boston Television which discusses Curtis. Here is a profile of Curtis from 2013, long before he died. Here is another review of the book which compares Curtis to Walter Kronkite, and so on. This is a clear-cut case. 192.160.216.52 (talk) 16:50, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, sources such as " 'TV legend Chet Curtis dies at 74', BostonHerald.com" are indicative of notability. Being inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame also helps. K.e.coffman (talk) 21:39, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
