No such place appears to exist. So far as I can tell, this relates to a supposedly fake lordship that was sold online earlier this year [1][2]. Small-town hero (talk) 20:01, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - this is a hoax, possibly set up to assist a fake-titles scam like this one, though their "Chelmswood Manor" is supposed to be in Nottinghamshire. No such place exists - the only other reference I have found, apart from a hotel in New Zealand, is this plaintive query on Yahoo answers from a dupe who bought one of the titles but can't find out where it is. "Viscount Hammond" doesn't exist either - see List of Viscounts - except in romantic novels like this. JohnCD (talk) 21:12, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- comment At some point this ref [3] that I had added was removed from the article. It is about the fake titles scam, and mentions the Chelmswood estate, but does not mention if the estate itself is real or not. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:46, 2 November 2009 (UTC)***[reply]
- Comment Should Abbeymount by the same editor be added to this AfD? Edward321 (talk) 15:27, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Perhaps a seperate AfD would be better, though it certainly looks like another hoax. I can't find anything relevant for it online. Small-town hero (talk) 18:09, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - to add to the general sense of something dodgy going on, putting "Chelmswood" into the search box of this local forum turns up curious threads in which a member calling himself "Chelmswood" asks for volunteers to work on a "Chelmswood estate" but when pressed gives scanty and inconsistent information about it and eventually fades away. - Delete probable WP:HOAX WP has something on most British peerages, but nothing on Viscount Hammond(s), which thus seems to be a hoax title. Peterkingiron (talk) 16:58, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete At best it can't be verified, probably is part of a hoax. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:19, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - made up title and estate found online, see [4] and [5]; I can't find anything relevant online, see [6]. Bearian (talk) 00:06, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as they also appear to live at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abbeymount. MilborneOne (talk) 21:10, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
