Keep. As a former member of the Lok Sabha, he clearly meets WP:POLITICIAN#1. The nominator's WP:BEFORE does not seem to have been very effective - it took me about two minutes to find a source verifying his (former) Lok Sabha membership, which I have now added to the article.
