The Daily Trojan is a college newspaper. Whether the piece in the Orange County Register is truly independent is questionable: the marketing coordinator (archived copy) for Buzzmob, Kjellrun "K.J." Owens, worked for the Register, according to the descriptions of Youtube videos [1] [2] linked from her social media page (archived copy) Also two other self-published pages ([3], [4]) (archived copies: [5], [6]) say she has worked for both the Register and Buzzmob. A couple of Register stories [7], [8] credit her. —rybec 05:07, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
