Butterworth Cover[edit]

After doing a verification check, all results that contained "Butterworth" and "Cover" were sheer coincidence and bear no relation to subject whatsoever. One cited source may be published by creator. Failed WP:V test, and possibly is WP:A11. Mr. Guye (talk) 16:35, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment doing a search using "Butterworth cover hatch" came up with [1], [2], [3], so it is a genuine term. However I doubt if is notable: is there any suitable merge target?TheLongTone (talk) 19:02, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Keep clearly notable. Butterworth hatches and covers (plates) are standard on oil tankers and similar vessels. They have been responsible for a number of marine losses. Consulting additional marine engineering texts should help clear up any lack of understanding. I have added additional citations to the article. --Bejnar (talk) 03:09, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
