This article was deleted as an expired "PROD" one year ago on the grounds that the player didn't pass the notability guidelines for tennis players. Nothing has changed about the biography since then, apart from re-creation of the article, which makes no further claims in regard to the broader general notability guideline. - Keep - As an author of the article I think it should be kept. The last time the article was removed, because Borislava Botusharova hadn't won a title yet, but last week she did won her first title. She is a promising tennis player from Bulgaria and she is still 18 years old, so that's why she hasn't won that many titles yet. If you decide to delete it, that's fine, but I think that will be wrong as there's a lot of other articles on Wikipedia for players that don't even have a title yet. Also, I would like for someone to tell me what exactly should a tennis player do to deserve to have an article about him/her? Thank you and I really hope the article will stay.
PS: I'm sorry if I'm not doing this right, but I have never done something like this before. Kr1s71an(click) (talk) 16:16, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Let me help you out with your confusion. There are not lots of articles on players that have no titles. There are hundreds of those 10k events around the world and they are the lowest of the low of the ITF. Winning one is not notable nor is the tournament notable. We keep a list of notability for all new editors at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Tennis/Article_guidelines#Notability so please read it over. It was not removed last time because she hadn't won a title, it was that we have a minimum threshold we use for notability at Wikipedia and she hasn't come close to it yet. A $25k is also a dime a dozen and isn't notable. $35k is the minimum need in these tiny ITF small tournaments. If she plays in any main draw of a WTA tournament she is notable, she doesn't even have to win a match. Those events get tv coverage etc... Tennis Project guidelines are pretty darned lenient about notability (many say too lenient by the way) but even we have to draw the line somewhere. Happy editing and remember you can always ask at the guidelines talk page or my talk page if you're unsure. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:41, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- I kind of understand now what are the rules for a tennis player to be considered notable. Botusharova is still young, so it will be hard for her to win a $50,000 tournament soon. She just qualified for another $10,000 final this week. So will she be considered notable if she wins a $25,000 tournament or plays a match for Fed Cup in February? I just want to know, so I don't make the article again if she lets say plays Fed cup and it gets deleted again. Thanks! Kr1s71an(click) (talk) 08:18, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
