A league of this name never existed. It is completely unreferenced. Mooretwin (talk) 19:08, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. The first of the Google Books hits helpfully linked above says that such a league did exist. Phil Bridger (talk) 11:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment - this team appear to play in this apparently non-existent league, as do 29 other clubs...if it is a hoax then these guys are in deep! GiantSnowman 12:52, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - the first link is to a chess league. The article purports to be about a football league. The league linked to by GiantSnowman would fail notability guidelines and - as is pointed out - appears to be a futsal league. The article purported to be about a senior league in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Mooretwin (talk) 12:55, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Actually as it stands, the article seems to merely imply that this name was a nickname used in some quarters for what was actually called the Irish Football League. If that's the case I don't think we need a separate article for an alternate name for a league for which we already have an article under the correct name..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 13:00, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The first Google web link is to a chess league, but I said Google Books, the first hit being this. Phil Bridger (talk) 17:23, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to IFA Premiership as per ChrisTheDude, looks to be two articles for the same thing. GiantSnowman 00:19, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so consensus may be reached.

- Redirect to IFA Premiership If all it is is an old name for the current league then surely there's no need for it. Fionnsci (talk) 11:59, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - it's not even an old name. The current league was never known by this name. There was, however, a wartime league from 1915-19 under this name, separate from the Irish League, and the article name should be reserved for any future article about that. Mooretwin (talk) 11:26, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect to IFA Premiership, per above.--PinkBull 17:43, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
