- Withdraw - new sources found/added. It's still not perfect but OK for me anyway. -- Green Cardamom (talk) 15:37, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Fails WP:NBOOK. No book reviews in national press, the two San Diego "reviews" are local author type article (and one possibly COI). LibraryThing shows only 3 members own the book, very low.[1] Seven libraries in the world hold a copy.[2] Green Cardamom (talk) 19:36, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. As the article’s editor, I’m proud to have contributed a Wikipedia article about one of the country’s finest, best known, and most highly respected sports figures. Admittedly, baseball biographies may not be the most popular book genre, but Coleman’s book was reviewed favorably by several San Diego media outlets (Coleman is the long serving announcer of San Diego Padres baseball games) plus the New York Daily News. Of course, there's also a number of baseball and U.S. Marine Corps web and blog sites that discuss the book which is not surprising given Coleman’s war record and National Baseball Hall of Fame credentials. As well, the book is located in 37 libraries, including the Library of Congress, according to worldcat.org. [3]EdJF (talk) 04:44, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Deletechanged to WITHDRAWN. As noted by GreenC, it fails WP:BOOK with respect to sources-- "...Some of these works should contain sufficient critical commentary to allow the article to grow past a simple plot summary..."--Larry (talk) 03:35, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]- Procedural note - though the nominator has withdrawn, as there is an outstanding delete !vote from User:Traveling Man, the discussion cannot be closed unless he also withdraws his !vote.
