This was tagged as a speedy deletion, but a number of anonymous editors have pointed out that he is significant in the world of civil war token collectors, as well as being notable as a voice actor. I'm afraid I cannot judge the veracity of these claims, so I am taking to AFD. Tbsdy (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 02:30, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak keep Possible notable as a voice actor, though just 6 news archive hits and most are behind paywall. See Philadelphia Inquirer and "If the narrator, Alan Bleviss, sounds familiar, it is because he did the voiceovers on the Dukakis campaign last year and also has several corporation .", "Sheldon Smith and Alan Bleviss. Alan ... extraordinary sound and Sheldon Smith is a great storyteller .." ]and a couple of mentions as an actor. Google books has He is one of the author's "favorite voice actors" and several listings as cast. From the various descriptions of how familiar his voice is, that is probably his greatest claim to notability (a link to a recording would be a useful addition to the article: I found some of his voice work and listened to his ads for New York Life and CNN online). As for his presidency of the Civil War Token Society, is it that notable an organization, and is "[1] Ephemera" a reliable source? If so that would help his notability. Various generally all-encompassing movie bio sites have nothing about him. Edison (talk) 19:10, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
