It is just one of the applications of inverter motor drive and the purpose of creation seems to be to promote disseminating commercial links and contents by vendors. The use of inverter drive for A/C is not unique enough to justify stand alone article. Cantaloupe2 (talk) 22:30, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Question: Could somebody explain what does the word wikt:inverter means? Simply that the motor can rotate in the opposite direction? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 15:03, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Reply In electrical engineering, inverters generally refer to devices that provide AC power from DC. Inverter appliances that use "inverters" convert AC to DC, and it is resynthesized into AC. The creation of AC can be for getting standard 120 or 240v 50/60Hz power to provide standard receptacle from DC source (battery bank, automobile, etc) or to provide variable frequency output for control purposes. I find it unnecessary to have equipment-by-equipment inverter listing, such as washing machine inverter, air conditioner inverter, vacuum cleaner inverter, etc. etc. Cantaloupe2 (talk) 15:00, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Article is informative and useful for Wikipedia. Wikipedia contains many articles that may not be understandable to some readers but that is no reason to delete them. Xxanthippe (talk) 22:51, 19 July 2013 (UTC).[reply]
- Reply It may appear informative, but it could very well be a bunch of gibberish from someone's personal knowledge which is highly likely to have misinformation. This article has been an host that attract low value commercial links placed by stakeholders who want increased traffic or brand awareness of their commercial venture. - Keep, don't see a reason to take it down. The closest thing to deleting is to merge it to the Air conditioner article itself. NintendoFan (Talk, Contribs) 01:55, 21 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, I found this article useful. It's not an ad since it doesn't promote any specific brands. - gdavisloop 24 July 2013 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gdavisloop (talk • contribs) 16:18, 25 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. The fact that the inverter and pulse-width modulator allow variable-speed operation makes this topic suitable for an article. Tendency of a topic to attract commercial links and cruft is not in itself grounds for deletion.--Srleffler (talk) 07:30, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
