I would've PRODed, but in case that's removed here we are; my own searches have found nothing better than mentions and there's nothing suggestive (such as permanent collections) to suggest convincing. SwisterTwister talk 19:10, 31 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Does not meet our notability requirements for artists. Basically this guy is the currator of a local museum, has been involved in exhibits in several countries, and gotten a few minor grants. Nothing about him suggests he is notable.John Pack Lambert (talk) 20:18, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment, found these: from Gulf News - "Sculpture Dubai paves marble path for artists .. Palestinian artist Ahmad Kanan, 47, said he would create a sculpture showing two villages, with one supported by a wing."[1], exhibited at Umm El Fahem Gallery - "Opening Group Exhibition Curator: Said Abu Shakra Participating Artists: Walid Abu Shakra, Asem Abu Shakra, Micha Ulman, Ahmed Kanan"[2], but more needed. • Keep. The article is definetely stub and in need to major rework, but I've looked for sources in Hebrew and found these: [3] - an exhibition in Open Museum in Tefen, this: [4] - exhibition in the Museum on the Seam in Jerusalem. [5] - This article references him as one of the most known Arab artists in Israel. [6] - This Israel Museum article about him lists also the exhibitions in Wilfrid_Israel#Wilfrid_Israel_Museum, which is quite known in Israel and in Islamic Museum, Jerusalem. Those are quite enough to pass WP:ARTIST. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arthistorian1977 (talkcontribs) 10:47, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
