Of course! By "Google search," I mean I also checked publications other than news articles such as books, and there isn't anything that passes WP:NBIO. As evident from the article's history, the content (1 sentence, 26 words) did not change for more than a decade, because the subject is only notable for their resignation, nothing else. Politicians and judges who have held:
1. international, Not an international position.
2. national, Not a national-level but local position.
3. or (for countries with federal or similar systems of government) state/province–wide office, or have been members of legislative bodies at those levels. Syria is not a federal state.
