Delete:Promising player who has played a handful of games for the first team of Pallacanestro Reggiana and is a regular for the Latvian under age national sides. However he has recieved sparse coverage, of which next to none is in depth or independent. Keep Passes NBASKETBALL by virtue of playing in the italiian first division. There are a number of sources here that can be useful in expanding the article and show he passes GNG as well. ~EDDY ^{(talk/contribs)}~ 21:48, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Saying he passes GNG is extremely lenient in my eyes. There's a mention by EuroCup and one by the Czech Federation but I wouldn't qualify them as significant (nor really independent). Probably the most in depth coverage is from Gazzetta di Reggio (which covers every single player on the team), this piece from Corriere di Bologa and this interview by the Italian federation. I'll let you judge by yourselves if that's decent coverage, for me it would put the mininum requirement quite low. --ArmstrongJulian (talk) 16:23, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
- I do not think that it is an issue that the Gazzetta di Reggio covers every player on the team. By my eyes the coverage is decent, but then again, I would say my minimum standard is fairly low for article inclusion. ~EDDY ^{(talk/contribs)}~ 21:02, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Weak Delete - He has a slight amount of notability, but I feel like this is a 'too soon' situation. As well, the spirit of the guidelines are as important as the exact wording of things. Being mentioned tangentially is nice, but maybe it would make sense to delete this article now and just wait to see how his playing goes-- if he really becomes totally notable.
