2005–06 Galatasaray SK Wheelchair Basketball Season[edit]

This article does not appear to meet the requirements of WP:NSEASONS. While wheelchair basketball as a sport has inherent notability, and this basketball club likely does as well, I see no evidence that this season of this club warrants a stand-alone article. The sole reference is to a web page dedicated to and operated by the club (i.e., not an independent source) and contains no information about the 2005-2006 season in question (i.e., it lacks relevance). If other editors feel the subject warrants inclusion, a redirect might be appropriate; otherwise, failing the appearance of some independent, reliable sources on the 2005-2006 season of this team (in either English or in Turkish or in any language), I propose the article be deleted. Delete - I try to maintain an open mind when I see an article about an obscure foreign sports team, i.e., one outside the Egnlish language media world. Maybe I am just ignorant of the sport, maybe the team is a huge deal in its own city or country. That having been said, a Google search reveals 28 hits for "Galatasaray SK Wheelchair Basketball," and virtually all of them are Wikipedia mirror articles or derivatives. Mind you, that's for the team itself, not the team's 2005-06 season. My analysis strongly suggests that the subject season fails the specific notability requirements for WP:NSEASONS and the general notability guidelines of WP:GNG. If another editor turns up a raft of quality Turkish language reliable sources with in-depth coverage of the 2005-06 season, I am certainly willing to be educated and to change my !vote as appropriate. Absent that, however, I think submitting the parent team page as well as the other season articles for AfD review is the far more likely outcome. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 22:58, 3 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
