I believe this fails WP:MILUNIT. Although a squadron in name, it only consists of 4 troops - probably the equiivalent of a company since its commanded by a major? Gbawden (talk) 09:03, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. A unit which perpetuates the history of an historic Yeomanry regiment, as do many such squadrons and batteries in the Territorial Army. In addition, for many years it was an independent unit specialising in "special communications", whatever that may mean. And it's not just "a squadron in name"; it's a perfectly normal squadron. A squadron in Commonwealth armies is a company equivalent and a troop is a platoon. Only in the US Army is a squadron a battalion and a troop a company. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:23, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge to 38 (City of Sheffield) Signal Regiment. From searching in Google books, this was the only source providing more than passing coverage to this sub-unit, so it doesn't seem notable. In regards to the above comment, we have a Royal Buckinghamshire Yeomanry article, not to mention the 38 (City of Sheffield) Signal Regiment article on this squadron's parent unit.
