I want to know why -stan is telling me about currencies. All of these suffixes (including -abad, -desh, -patnam, Pur (placename element), -tania, and — by far the worst — -land) are a few paragraphs of prose and then a vast list of "examples" with too many flags. (One or two examples is surely enough. -an manages without any.) They can be merged into an actual encyclopaedia article like E (prefix) Lowercase i prefix (AfD discussion) et al. are all now in Internet-related prefixes. Merger was suggested at the last AFD discussion. Please suggest some topic names. Uncle G (talk) 12:42, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Keep as an extremely common suffix in toponyms. I don't have an opinion on whether this should be a standalone article, but in principle it should be possible to also merge it as either as a section of the related Wallah, or into a yet-to-be-created list of Indian placename suffixes. – Uanfala (talk) 15:07, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment thanks to the couple of people that have pinged me about this article, however I don't personally care whether it's kept or deleted, my name is only in the mix because I did some routine maintenance on it 4 years ago. I often do work to try and save articles, but I'm not as passionate about keeping them as some folks are about deleting them, so if folks want it deleted, so be it.
