Suspected sockpuppets[edit]


Both are religious POV-pushers who have edit-warred/disruptively edited at Yahweh. Wittgenstein123 has been indeffed, this makes me think that Mooters 1563 is an incarnation of Wittgenstein123. About diffs: Mooters' recent contributions consist exclusively of WP:DE at Yahweh and Wittgenstein123 performed WP:DE at Talk:Yahweh before being blocked . Both users have blanked their user talk pages big time. Both have claimed that the article would violate WP:NPOV without supporting their claims with WP:SOURCES. WP:DUCK at [1] (personal slurs, racist attacks, see the revdell-ed comments of Wittgenstein123). Needs a checkuser, since I guess there might be a socks farm. @Katolophyromai: No, I did not read the revdell-ed comments, but I have a guess about what they might have said. E.g. someone who has never heard of Bible scholarship and reads a book of it, finds it kind of crazy. The behavioral evidence looks pretty strong to me - I ran the Editor Interaction Analysis tool & there is a clear level of commonality between the two "editors" on Yahweh, Talk:Yahweh, & WP:ANI. Shearonink (talk) 22:02, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A WP:SPA "new" editor commits WP:DUCK (in respect to Mooters 1563) through edit warring at Yahweh, which led to the indeffing of Mooters 1563. Raskolinkover has been blocked for 24 hours, but as said at [3] by Katolophyromai, Raskolinkover is either a sock or a copycat vandal. Raskolinkover started attacks similar to Wittgenstein123's and Mooters' through stating that Bible scholars would be deceivers from Satan ([4]). WP:RGW at [5] (also speaks of "us", plural). Definitely a case of WP:COMPETENCE#Bias-based. Tgeorgescu (talk) 20:18, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Tgeorgescu: I think the use of the word "us" may simply be referring to Christians in general, since that is the context in which the pronoun appears to be being used. It seems abundantly clear to me that this new "Jokeragentofchaos" is clearly yet another sockpuppet. His entire edit history consists of nothing but restoring the same tag that Wittgenstein123, Mooters 1563, and Raskolinkover all repeatedly attempted to edit war into the article, despite unanimous consensus on the talk page that the POV tag did not belong. I say that he should be blocked right away. Even if he is not a sockpuppet, his actions still clearly qualify as disruptive editing. --Katolophyromai (talk) 03:35, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK--CU does not confirm, though the location is certainly a match; I wrote up Wittgenstein123 on the CU wiki, and if a fellow CU wants to have a look, go for it. I have blocked them per NOTHERE anywayz--that was an easy call. I did find two more socks of Mooters and CU-blocked them: Jacksnake7 (talk · contribs) and MathPhiloTheo (talk · contribs), whose edits are pretty similar too...   • This individual is definitely the same one we have been dealing with for over a month now. The fanatic anti-Semitism in the second paragraph of his deleted comments on the talk page is very similar to the sort of attacks that Mooters1563 rendered against me the first time around. I do not think there is currently enough evidence to conclude that Ariel820 is a sockpuppet of Wittgenstein123. Currently, the editor has only inserted comments regarding the vocalization of the name Yahweh and has not made any complaints about the article allegedly violating WP:NPOV. The editor may be a sockpuppet, but, with the information we have right now, I do not think that the evidence is solid enough to draw any kind of conclusion from it. I am certainly no expert on spotting sockpuppets, but this does not seem like an "obvious sock" to me, based on what little evidence we have right now. --Katolophyromai (talk) 19:45, 6 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
