Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

What am you are 8 was created solely [1] to promote What am you are 7's GAN, [2]. The GAN was passed without any actual reviewing, and an absurd rationale of "this page is a very good article, containing a good amount of reliable and notable info about the film. Better than some pages that are actually good articles". Perhaps the most obvious use of sockpuppets I've ever seen. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 16:19, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Looks like a duck to me, based off of the above. I think a checkuser might be wise; I have seen cases wrote when a malicious user decides to feign being a sock of another user. I don’t strongly suspect that to be the case here, but given how obvious the apparent socking is it might be worth a check. — Mikehawk10 (talk) 17:02, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments[edit]

  • CheckUser requested - I've blocked the two accounts without tags. There are a bunch more of What am you are # accounts, including one that is earlier than 7 but not stale and another one that is earlier but is stale. I am therefore requesting CU to sort this out and also look for accounts without the same naming simiilarity. Meanwhile, I'll add the accounts to the suspected list.
