Suspected sockpuppets

This appears to be a meat/sock with the intent of promoting all things related to Shin Koyamada, including on the articles Shinca Corporation, Shinca Entertainment, United States Martial Arts Festival, Shin Koyamada Foundation, Shin Koyamada, and Laizen Comics. Evidence as follows: User Shinca was blocked for editing the Shinca Corporation article here [1]. The account has a history that almost exclusively edited the above mentioned related articles Special:Contributions/Shinca. After Shinca was blocked, Scottlandwhite boy created the Shinca Entertainment twice (once after it was speedy deleted) [2], which happened shortly after the account Shinca was blocked for having edited the Shinca Corporation article. JUNGLEAMAZON and LongerTitanLegs quickly thereafter tuned the article with minor edits [3], [4], and [5] which would normally not raise much concern. But looking at their editing histories, JUNGLEAMAZON has edited exclusively on the list of related articles mentioned above Special:Contributions/JUNGLEAMAZON and the tuning edit to the article was LongerTitanLegs only edit to article space Special:Contributions/LongerTitanLegs. LongerTitanLegs also made a series of rather odd edits including giving a warning about removing a speedy on the same article: [6], as well as refactoring talk comments on Scottlandwhiteboy's talk page here: [7] and [8]. Historically it appears that JUNGLEAMAZON also adding inappropriate external links to a website related to Shin Koyamada as well here: [9] which is an article originally created by user Shinca as well [10]. Overall all 4 accounts appear to be a meat/sock with the intent of promoting Shin Koyamada and related articles. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 16:01, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

A large number of editors whose contributions almost entirely revolve around the Koyamada Foundation, its founder Shin Koyamada, his other company Shinca Entertainment and his various productions (Spirit Show Network, The Dreamhoppers etc.). The content they add is often promotional in tone. Of these users, only KarateVolunteer appears to have some edits that don't appear related to Shin Koyamada. As one of the first edits of each user was the creation of a placeholder user page, I'm listing the contents of these user pages for comparison:

  • Vegascitizen: I reside in Las Vegas. I want to focus on improving the articles related to entertainment industry. [11]
  • Newvolunteer: New in Wiki [12]
  • Espanolland : Spanish helper [13]
  • Italianhelper: Helping to create a new article [14]
  • CreativePhotoLab: Here to help edit an article [15]
  • HollywoodWikii: Freelancer [16]
  • ElDoradoInt: Español y English Escritor [17]
  • Fukuokashihoteru: Freelancer in Japan [18]
  • DiscoverEngland007: I would like to help creating a new article [19]
  • Bogota256734: editor from Bogota [20]
  • Bonjourelouve: écrivain de France [21]
  • DoorsToKeys: Hawaiian [22]
  • TokyoWikii: Volunteer from Tokyo [23]
  • KoWikiEditor: Volunteer [24]
  • ComicConWWW: comiceditor [25]
  • KarateVolunteer: Karate fan [26]

I'm also requesting CU attention just in case this turns out to be a PR editing ring with other users who have made edits from the same physical location to unrelated articles. – Uanfala (talk) 20:57, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
