The user Satt 2 was indefinitely banned on 8 January 2010. I found this user in the talk page archives of Talk:Georgia (country). This user appeared to have a determined agenda to place Georgia in Europe and purge it from any relation with Asia. Satt 2's edits are in Georgian related articles and boxes on his user page state that he enjoys Classical music including Bach and Handel [1]. Satt 2 was banned for uploading non-free (Georgian related) images.

The user Polgraf appeared on 16 January 2010 (eight days after Satt 2 was banned). Polgraf's edits are in Georgian related articles and his user page has the same boxes stating that he enjoys Classical music including Bach and Handel [2], and Polgraf has the same agenda as Satt 2 regarding Georgia and Europe. Polgraf also uploads non-free (Georgian related) images.

The IP 69.142.134.249 appeared recently with the same POV mission regarding Georgia and Europe. Polgraf added a 'warning' to the IP's talk page but they are both working for a common goal on Talk:Georgia (country) and especially Talk:Western Asia. Update[edit]

In what looks like evasive maneuvering after spotting this report, Polgraf is repeating some of the IP's edits [3] and left this message on the IP's talk page [4], following which the IP claims to have registered Hendrikestonian (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Polgraf jumped in at Talk:Western Asia to carry on the IP's line of argument, just as he had done at Talk:Georgia (country). EmirKaraman (talk) 15:52, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh now the quacking is deafening. Polgraf has posted an Estonian comment on User talk:Hendrikestonian [5] which Google translates as "Good work chum! : -) This website is full of idiots like EmirKaraman."

When I made this report I was certain that Polgraf was Satt 2 but only 90% that Polgraf was the IP, I am now certain of both. EmirKaraman (talk) 17:07, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User compare report[edit]

I've just checked the User compare report and it really is unequivocal. Polgraf and the IP both edited Georgian mythology (a very rarely edited article [6]), and just 3 minutes apart from each other [7] [8]. At the bottom of the list, Polgraf and Satt 2 both edited Zakaria Paliashvili, a considerably obscure article, and in actual fact, Polgraf and Satt 2 both moved Zakaria Paliashvili to Zachary Paliashvili [9] [10]. Polgraf and the IP both edited Georgians, and only 2 minutes apart from each other [11] [12]. Compare the IP's edit summary style here ("ethnic grou" --> "ethnic group") and Polgraf's edit summary style on the same article a week later here ("that" -> "the"). It gets even better, a proxy IP has just appeared at Georgia (country) repeating Polgraf's/69.142's edits, and has been speedily banned [13]. I hope his use of proxys doesn't evade CheckUser. information Administrator note I blocked both Bucharwm and IraklySp. I'm still thinking about the IP mainly because of poor man's checkuser. It should be autoblocked. The reassigning of addresses is not the problem as Comcast does not reassign frequently. The timing of the edits between Polograf and the IP are concerning. Would appreciate a second opinion. Well, it took me a minute to see it, but I've got it now. After investigating, there are dueling sockfarms here. One is here, and the master is using proxies to create accounts and get his few edits in. I've been blocking these as they have been reported.
Our friend Dynamo Stavropol is actually EmirKaraman (talk · contribs) and is part of the larger sockfarm discovered at the sockpuppet investigation filed under that name. Recently User:ComtesseDeMingrelie was given an indefinte block for being a sock of User:Polgraf, who was blocked for being a sock of User:Satt 2 amoungst others [15], who had previously been blocked. Seems to be a serial sockpuppeteer. The latest to pop up is User:Bathuslimen, who's only edits in article space are to continue ComtesseDeMingrelie's edit warring over the map on Georgia (country) and two edits to Batumi, an article of which two of the user's sock's were active on: User:DrumbBOT and User:ComtesseDeMingrelie TDL (talk) 07:25, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Previously, as Satt 2 and ComtesseDeMingrelie, there have been extensive discussions about borders and images of maps on both Talk:Europe and the talk page of Template:Europe and Sea. The present account of Mschwerin was created on 19 April. After making the minimum number of edits required to bypass semiprotection on the article page of Europe, this user proceeded to blank maps related to the boundary of Europe and, after the blanking was reverted, to argue tendentiously about long-established consensus concerning these maps and their labelling. The concentration on this very narrow topic as soon as sufficient edits were clocked up suggests that this is an alternative account of Polgraf / Satt 2 / ComtesseDeMingrelie. Just as a matter of interest Polscience and Satt 2 are operated by the same puppetmaster, who kindly sent me this email on 8 April:

Well, you have scored a little victory by having me blocked but this is by far not the end. Unless the deliberate marginalization of Georgia on Europe-related pages ceases, this cat/dog game is going to go on indefinitely. I was a puppet of Polgraf, Polgraf was in turn a puppet of Satt 2, Satt 2, was in turn a puppet of tireless user:polscience who had more than one hundred socks(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Polscience). As you can see, this goes back further than anyone thought and even after so many years I will not have rest until justice is done to Georgia and other peripheral countries. Well, the IP just appeared to revert the removal of a template that had been placed in by a previous sock, and of course to revert a map. Editing Georgian royalty articles, such as Ekaterine Dadiani, Princess of Megrelia, which is the royalty that was placed on a previous socks userpage. Per request on my talk page, this is what I was going by for Ypolignac. Like the previous socks, the main pages being edited are Georgian articles. Many of the pages being edited such as Coalition casualties in Afghanistan (edited by socks Prel91 (talk · contribs) and 141.161.40.175 (talk · contribs)) were sock targets. One of the factors that struck me was using false descriptions/identities. This edit appeared to reverting a sock. However, they were reverting Kober and not Den5987. They reinstated the edits made by Den5987. This was the edit made by Den5987. Note, names of Georgia is currently protected for socking. The same edit here used a false edit summary to try and reinstate the sock's edits.

This edit on Tbilisi was made to reinstate the edits of 141.161.139.119 and Ritsin. I didn't see any "formatting" going on.

Note. Satt 2 has been trying to circumvent detection recently by using false descriptions/identities. This and this (admin only) were probably attempts to get the users who the pages redirected to blocked instead of them.

I can add that the user uploaded several copyrighted images to the Commons last month under the username Droebiti, though I'm not sure how decisions on Wikipedia translate to the Commons. Similar argumentative pro-Georgian edits to Europe as previous sockpuppets. I also noticed that the reporting on WP:AN3 seems a little OTT. I could be wrong, but this user is edit warring in the same was as ComtesseDeMingrelie (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) concerning transcontinental countries.   • Andriabenia's account was created on 20 December, but they are clearly not a new user. They knew about requesting page protection, about moving pages, about making SPI reports, etc. They have both edited articles on Georgia (country) and the Georgian people with pointy comments against Armenian editors. The last Georgian nationalism problems on Europe-related articles were reported here [16] by Chipmunkdavis, where the same issues emerged on Asia and a map template Template:Europe and Sea showing boundaries (a template I helped create). That required the template to be semiprotected. ComtesseDeMingrelie filed an SPI report here, naming me, Chimpmundavis and Mov25 as sockpuppets of Izzedine. CU then found that the account ComtesseDeMingrelie was operated by Polgraf, i.e. Satt 2. What I remember was how difficult the arguments became at Template:Europe and Sea: Andriabenia's edits to Europe and its talk page are similar, with exactly the same kind of point of view. I compared the two users' edits: [17]. CMD made these edits to Europe: [18], She added Georgian language [19], then made these edits about the boundary [20][21][22][23][24], A few days later she made these edits [25] (Mingrelian appears) [26][27][28] [29][ again concerning borders. On List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Europe, A made the edits [30][31] and [32]; she is currently edit warring with Chipmunkdavus. CDM edit warred with Chipmunkdavis on the same article [33] On Joseph Stalin, they both changed the picture to the same one.[34][35] Their editing history in the short period they have been on wikipedia (less than 2 weeks), indicates that Andriabenia is not a new user. Common features include pro-Georgian disruption, anti-Armenian remarks in edit summaries, edits connected with Mingrelia (both edited House of Chikovani, Dadiani Palaces Museum) and haggling and edit-warring in an aggressive way over long-settled border issues in Europe/Asia, as if they already known me and Chipmunkdavis. Restoring the same Stalin photograph is hard to explain. I do not have the time to go further into a comparison of edits, beyond saying that the knowledge of wikipedia procedures (such as page protection [36]) makes it clear this is not a new user. I am not familiar enough with the other manifestations of Polgraf/Satt 2 to compare with the multiple previous accounts. I believe that Satt2 behaved identically on Europe.[37] The edit summaries in the diffs listed shows identical behaviour, with aggressive haggling over borders/transcontintental countries, took place in 2008-2009 and the start of 2010. Apart from being anti-Armenian, another common feature is referring to page watchers of Asia and Europe (and related articles) as "POV-pushers." In addition, in their short period on wiki, Andriabenia has also filed a report at WP:ANI on 29 December here. As EdJohnston said in that thread, he conduct here, apart from probably involving sockpuppetry, falls under WP:ARBAA and WP:ARBAA2.   • I should add the further comment that Andriabenia's editing on Europe and its talk page is as disruptive as that of Satt 2 and his multiple socks. She/he has arrived on the page with a nationalist battleground mentality, determined to reject any sources that do not support their point of view.   • The editing of Andriabenia is obviously not that of a new user. Each of Satt 2's socks has adopted a slightly different but disruptive approach so far, but with the same overall aim. (Last time ComtesseDeMingrelie wanted to argue that France was a transcontinental country because of its overseas territories.) Andriabenia argued on Talk:Europe for a definition of the boundary of Europe based on two rivers in Georgia, which is not widely accepted. That would have placed a much larger portion of Georgia in Europe. So their own claims about the neutrality of their editing are disingenuous. Last time it took quite a while for Elockid to work out that DuchesseDeMingrelie was Satt 2. When the same behaviour repeats itself, with unreasonable edits and opposition to standard sources, it would be a normal precaution to check this account. As I already stated, brushing off editors with different points of view as sockpuppets/sockpuppeteers has become a common practice on these pages and in my short tenure on this website, I have already been accused on at least on three occasions - [48] [49] [50] - by users who all had the same kind of grip on their OWN articles as user:Mathsci appears to have on page Europe. In the end, the truth prevailed, although I did waste a great deal of my time, like right now writing this paragraph.

As for your statements about "argumentative pro-Georgia" edits, let me tell you that many editors from peripheral and ignored countries like Georgia will consider it their duty to challenge the hegemony of elitists like user:mathsci, who cut and sew articles in any way they want under some kind of imaginary consensus - apparently many wrongs make a right, despite a myriad of sources to the contrary.

Finally, I just looked over your "evidence" and I don't see user:ContesseDeMingrelie anywhere on the Principality of Mingrelia page, which is odd for someone's "favorite" article.   • It is ridiculous that my use of wikipedia resources such as SPI, page protection, and administrator's board is used as an "evidence" against me. Before I learned about these options I simply engaged in an edit war and was blocked. I found about SPI when I realized that I was myself reported by rast5, an indefinitely blocked user. Same about the administrator noticeboard, where user:rast5 was also quite adept. As for the page protection requests, I merely followed an earlier example of a fellow user:Antique Rose, who came to my attention because he/she was engaged in a discussion on the Tamara Toumanova page before I arrived. Once you are on the aforementioned wikipedia resource pages, I don't think you have to be an experienced user to fill in a two sentence template.
  • I reverted the Joseph Stalin image because I saw it on Georgians page and like it and if you go through the Stalin page history, you see I am not the only user who disliked the previous image, with the leading image changing periodically between the two alternatives. This, not to mention that such articles are popular with most Georgian editors.
  • The only reason I even mentioned I came from Mingrelia - on this page and only once - is because you complained that I edited a Mingrelian page that ComtesseDeMingrelie apparently derived her name from. Otherwise I don't see why I would even mention my family's provenance in this context. I don't see how this is a proof of anything.
  • As for the latinized names, it is a common knowledge that names that are not of Georgian origin - such as Greek, Hebrew, and Latin - are not transliterated in western works. The past examples of latinization/hellenization include: [51], [52], [53], [54]. Erekle II was mentioned as Heraclius II on many articles and as I already stated on your talk page, I do not like when one wiki article contradicts another. From the very first few days "Damianmx" started editing, there was something totally fishy regarding him. He knew all Wikipedia policies, he very quickly got on bad term with numerous established users, and there was a very obvious agenda present. LITERALLY the 2nd row of edits Damianmx made, were to push Georgia into Europe,[55] a trademark agenda of ALL CU blocked socks of satt2 an the master. Some months have passed, and due to the low-profile that Georgia-related articles have, he managed to jump the gun with this sock. I was 100% sure, from its earliest days, that this had to be a sock of some earlier blocked sock abuser, simply by his extremely obvious editorial pattern. He jumped the gun for a few months, but he's so busted now.

Some editorial evidence that links them together:

  • Damianmx reinstated virtually EXACTLY the same revision,[56]-[57] that THREE previously CU blocked sock of him had added right here.[58][59][60] Literally copy pasted most of it back into the article by Damianmx.
  • Here a CU confirmed sock of Satt2 removes the part about the extensive Armenian demographic history in Tbilisi.[61][62][63][64] Damianmx EXACTLY did the same, removing the EXACT same type of info while mentioning that the sources are "not reliable",[65][66], telling the same info can be found elsewhere, as well as quoting the exact same material and exact same quote on the exact same talk page;
  • Damianmx added "formerly known as Tiflis" to the article,[132] just like previous socks.[133]
  • Damianmx is extremely bothered that Georgia is considered a part of Greater Iran, resulting in tagging the sentence,[134] just like CU blocked socks.[135]
  • The EXACT same usage of English/same English profiency, from sockmaster to this new sock.
  • This amazing revelation he made, which was published on the SPI case further completely confirms Damianmx to the entire socklist, which confirms his sole existence on Wikipedia, namely to drag his nation of Georgia desperately into Europe, just like Damianmx.[136]
  • Just look at the further archived history of this sockpuppet investigation for more information. Its literally, as I type, too much overlap to list everything here, but this should be enough. Its literally a perfect match on about every edit and every target article. From his agenda, to his POV, to the way he signs his comments, to his behavioural pattern. Basically, this is another clear cut one. Has only edited the lede of the Kingdom of Georgia article so far, tried to make it look more "European" in typical Satt 2 fashion.[154]-[155] 1) Added information about a monastery in Greece, 2) changed "Northern Iran" to "northern edges of Iran", 3) changed "Empire of Trebizond" to "its allied Eastern Roman Empire", 4) changed "Christian East" to modern-day "European Southern Russia").

@Bbb23: I see. Well, the editorial pattern is very similar. Like, virtually the same. Having said that, Satt 2 is a LTA, so we can't rule out meatpuppetry either. For the record: there's another major thing that links Studiawschodnie and Bencemagyar together. Apart from having the same WP:NOTHERE editorial pattern (a pattern which does bear many similarities to that of Satt 2), edits made by both accounts also suggest some kind of relation between the sockmaster and the country "Poland".
For example Studiawschodnie (a name which sounds Polish), on the English Wikipedia, made edits to the Georgia–Poland relations article.[157] Bencemagyar made edits to the Georgia article on the Polish Wiki, where he inserted the exact same disruptive edits[158] as both accounts have tried to add on the English Wiki. Many of these editors just seem new or confused. I suggest that the Georgetown University page be watched by admins with an eye to any disruptive editing that may be going on. Of the three named editors at the top of your list: two of them already have warnings and one has an invitation to the Teahouse. If these kind of edits were preventing work on article development, I would suggest extended confirmed protection for the article but in actuality they are not editing fast enough to block all progress. Consider reporting to admins if individual accounts continue to make questionable edits and won't listen to reason. Also, semiprotection might be considered if it is needed.
