  • Rayhan96 (1, 2, 3, 4) and Vivaan Viswanath (5, 6, 7, 8) have both made quick, successive edits to the Soham Chakraborty article, among many others. Rayhan96 also helped contribute a bit to Kanak Chapa a popular article for Sadman Sakibzz. There are a number of instances where Vivaan Viswanath (9) and Rayhan96 (10) would hyperlink a number of pages. (More examples can be found in the editor interaction analysis above.)   • Given that the account created the article and the checkuser confirmed sock, Sameer Paudwal, along with the behavioral confirmed sock, Malhar7, were the only users to make real contributions to it, I think it's reasonable to conclude that it's a sock.   • First is technically  Possible to the other two which are technically  Likely related to each other. That being said, from a technical perspective there is very very little that can be done. Originally I thought that Undertaker2015 is probably the sockpuppeteer of Mjabaran (considering the fact that MJ is continuing articles that Undertaker started before he was blocked) but then looking further MJ has been around longer and the 2 are very similar to sadmans style.   • I'm going to address all of the open cases here. Wgolf, in the future please add the additional suspected sock accounts to an open SPI as opposed to opening new cases for each additional sock. The following accounts are confirmed to each other and have been blocked and tagged:

It's not diffs but here's some more evidence: this user created a total of 5 pages, both this user and User:Vivaan Viswanath created Apurbo Roy, Kojagori and Amanush 2 see here and here. Editing periods match (it's not strong evidence but it's evidence so here you go) see time cards here and here. This user has contributed to 32 unique pages (see xtools) of which 17 have also been edited by User:Vivaan Viswanath. PhantomTech (talk) 21:11, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Concur with this - I was actually working on filing an SPI for this editor when I noticed it had already been done. Well one of the other sock puppets did basically the same thing create these pages for films from that country with just a cast list. There was other similarities but not quite sure what (Or I can't quite remember) Wgolf (talk) 20:57, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Adding Gujjar Daw who has recreated the same page as previous socks Sher Medaan Da, including cleanup templates (see previously deleted versions). Although they created an account mere hours ago, Gujjar Daw's user page suggests that they have been editing for more than four years. Shajee Ahmad exhibits similar editing behavior as previous socks, for example removing AfD notices [4].- MrX 10:36, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Adding IJhon Jhan who created Sultan (1972 film) in the same style as previous sock. These articles are typically 1970s Pakistani film stubs with lots of red links, and body text duplicated in other articles: "...completed continuously 172 weeks..." including Basheera and Sher Khan (1981 film).   • J rakhshan (talk · contribs · count) is  Confirmed. Wgolf, again diffs would be really helpful. For example, when you say this account "is one of the Pakistan film connection people", I assume you have some other sock or socks in mind. Point me to them. I don't want to go hunting them down. As for the Talk page, the account copied the Talk page from J rakhshanda. Notice the obvious similarity in usernames. That account is unblocked, has not edited since early March, and is  Stale. The account was apparently obsessed with Sami Khan (actor), including creating another article with similar content but a different spelling of the name, which was deleted. I'm going to block J rakhshan. @Wgolf, while I ponder whether to block J rakhshanda as well, I'd like to hear from you about two things. First, what other socks do Pakistani films? While blocking the dude for copyright violations I discovered that he is a sock of Vamsiraj. Vamsiraj was suspected of using account Rohit Kapuria which shares a similarity in name to this reported account. Rohit was linked to another of Vamsiraj's socks. There's also an intersection at Dag Creative Media, where both Rohit and Raju attempted to create the article. Since this guy is prolific, I'm hoping that a CU might uncover other accounts, although I understand the risk that we may've gone stale. Thanks. The article Ashish Bisht is a pet project of the sock master. Unfortunately, he is deemed totally not notable. Still it is repeatedly recreated. In all cases, the creator was referring to the upcoming movie Shab (film), where Bisht would play a main role, as reason for creation. And every time that movie is to be released soon.

To my opinion, this is a plain promo campaign for a starting actor, run by one sockmaster.

    • information Administrator note I would like to request CheckUser for more information. I took a look at the deleted history of Ashish Bisht, and the behavior of the Jinnun account appears to be inconsistent with that of the previous Aditya n06 socks. [15] and [16] (by Jinnun) show poor command of English, with incorrect capitalization and punctuation everywhere, as well as a lack of knowledge of how to use citation templates. On the other hand, [17] and [18] (by confirmed Aditya n06 socks) show better English as well as knowledge of citation templates like {{cite web}} and even a wikitable. [19], which is a version by Sifat Mustafa (talk · contribs), a Vamsiraj sock, is closer to Jinnun in behavior, with poor English capitalization and no knowledge of citation templates.
      Given these differences in behavior, I'm more inclined to say that these two groups of socks are separate and that Jinnun is more likely a sockpuppet of Vamsiraj, if it is a sockpuppet at all.   • Thanks for the check, Bbb23. Although Jinnun and Vamsiraj both have substandard English, I look a look through the deleted contribs of old Vamsiraj socks in the archive, and there are other idiosyncrasies which make me agree that Jinnun is unrelated to Vamsiraj. If Jinnun continues to recreate the Ashish Bisht article (which is now salted), a block may be warranted for disruptive editing, and they may also fall under WP:CIR#Language difficulty. However, since sock puppetry is not a part of these issues, they are beyond the scope of SPI, and on that basis I am marking this case as closed. Mz7 (talk) 01:35, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
