Suspected sockpuppets

Puppet has attempted to reinsert some of the copyvio images I blocked the master for and has asked for the master to be unblocked. I would suggest it's a duck, but given the user names sound plausibly like personal names, I request CheckUser to provide technical evidence as to whether this is sock or meat. Extreme WP:DUCK, very similar usernames, master was blocked due to copyvios on 30 March 2016, he created Nouman sherani and Nouman arbaz khan both on 1 April 2016. He might have created the third account Nouman arbaz khan after realizing that Nouman sherani might be too telling. All three accounts made edits to Jahangir Khan Jani which was created by master. They have been very disruptive, adding copyvio images and unsourced material, also creating pages for non-notables, creating a lot of administrative work for others to cleanup the mess. Master has displayed the knowledge of adding advanced tables and wikifying links, also can create articles, can add images and modify templates so its possible that master be someone other than these, a past blocked account possibly.

Besides the name, there is this edit by Nk Khan Sherani, which is almost identical to this one made by Nks Sherani. Specifically, note the addition of an image simultaneous to the deletion of categories.

Assuming good faith, this might simply be a case of forgetting the password, since the two accounts don't have overlapping editing histories, though Nk Khan Sherani did edit as recently as 11:00 on April 7 (Nks Sherani started editing at 23:09 April 7). clpo13(talk) 06:15, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Scratch that last bit. There is now significant overlap in editing times and articles (such as Shahid Usman). Both accounts mark nearly every edit as minor. Nk Khan Sherani uploads File:Sunbal+copy.jpg and Nks Sherani adds it to an article. There's also the issue of nearly every upload by Nk Khan Sherani lacking source or licensing information. Dilber Munir (talk · contribs) starts by creating Dilber Munir about a Pashto cinema actor. The article follows the same formula as several creations made by the master, Nouman khan sherani (talk · contribs): {{Infobox person}}, 1-line lead, filmography section.

User then:

Agree, sounds like a duck. Master had created Mohabat Kar Da Lewno Da that got deleted at AfD. The suspected sock has recreated this 1-liner film stub at Mohabbat Kar Da Lewano Day with a redirect from Mohabat Kar Da Lewno Da. --Sam Sailor Talk! 16:49, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Whilst they show similar patterns of behaviour in creating unreferenced film stubs and uploading copyright images these articles/images relate to different countries.   • @Doug Weller: I can see why you think there may be a relationship, but it is purely a technical one, and the user agents used by both masters and their socks are often difficult to confirm with absolute certainty. If, though, you focus on behavior, the two masters are distinct. I'm not an expert on Najaf ali bhayo, but my sense is that he vandalizes particular topic areas, whereas Nouman khan sherani focuses mainly on creating film articles. If you look at the different socks, many of which were blocked without a CU, the ownership appears to be correct. I blocked and tagged Momin167. Habibullah6474 created Ghulam (2016 film), a poorly-sourced article about a film of questionable notability with Arbaaz Khan given top billing despite sources mentioning him further down the cast list. Past socks have promoted Khan in the same way.

All have been globally locked now as well but I fear we have not seen the end of this person since he expands cross wiki that is why I acted on nl-wiki where I am admin and made the cross wiki file.
