Link Osorio recently copied the format and text of my user page, user talk page, the editnotices for both and my signature. Link Smurf appeared on my talk page to notify me about the LrnzɑcliI979 account and page. The LrnzɑcliI979 account was blocked as an impersonation earlier today. I think a sleeper check may be in order as well. Imzadi 1979  23:36, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This account was created in the last 4 days. It has edited in the same areas as the Link Osorio account (KML files, Puerto Rican highways and things related to Interstate 69, just as Link Osorio did. Additionally, I was "thanked" by Interstate69 for an edit just as Link Osorio used to. The Link Osorio account was previously confirmed to be a sock of Link Smurf by a CU. • information Administrator note Looking at the contributions this looks like a reasonably clear case. The account was created a week after Link Osorio was blocked, dived right into the same area of interest including Puerto Rican highways and obscure KLM templates, uses similar edit summaries, and even the username is related to the last article Link Osorio edited. I've blocked Interstate69 indefinitely and reset the main account's block by another two weeks. Jafeluv (talk) 08:26, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Earlier today, the 24.171 IP all but blanked a couple of roads-related pages and left the word "eolgi" on each page.[1] [2] The only other place I've seen that strange word is on this page User:Link 2 Osorio/Eolgi. The IP was blocked promptly. Shortly thereafter, Porcelanica was created and took over where the IP left off. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Porcelanica was indef blocked by Nthep within 20 minutes of the accounts creation.

Up until he published his password publicly, Link 2 Osorio was known as Link Smurf, another account with a history at SPI. Link Smurf's MO was Puerto Rican highways and Interstate Highways, specifically I-69.

If I was supposed to attach this to the Link Smurf SPI page, I apologize. If nothing else, I figured this would be a way to get them all merged together. –Fredddie 01:13, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The IP was preoccupied with Puerto Rico highway articles and Interstate Highways and was subsequently blocked.[9] "Eolgi", which seems to be Link Smurf's calling card, was added to the Sandbox.[10]

The 18I account was created around the same time in order to obfuscate the IP. That account edited an Interstate 69 article.[11]Fredddie 03:20, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Same pattern of obsession over things porcelain and Interstate Highways. Also has the same "eolgi" keyword involved. Accounts have been blocked for vandalism, but it would be nice to confirm if sockpuppetry is involved for the record. Imzadi 1979  20:53, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ponyo: another account popped up on Interstate Highway System. I say it's a WP:DUCK case as well, so I added it to the list above. Imzadi 1979  01:44, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Make that two; the one looks like an IP, but it fits another pattern for this person whereby a digit in the IP is swapped out with a letter to make an account that looks as though it were an IP. Imzadi 1979  01:46, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The last one (Ami51347) e-mailed me, and posted on his/her talk page earlier in a fashion that implicates the account as a sockpuppet. Imzadi 1979  02:52, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[15] and [16]. Interstates and Lladró are a couple of Link Smurf's favorite pages to hit, thought it seems page blanking is a new behavior. The username makes it seemingly a WP:DUCK sock. More page blanking and more eolgi. [18][19][20][21]. Link Smurf's editing would be greatly inhibited if "eolgi" triggered the edit filter. Edit history shows interest in interstate highways and Puerto Rico, also edited the pages of 2 other socks/masters: [22][23]. Also, note the telltale use of "eolgi." I agree; the edits do not fit the usual LS pattern at all. @TJH2018: we have many IPs make large numbers of changes to articles related to the Interstate or US Highway Systems, but unless they start adding certain nonsense words or follow other indicators, we shouldn't suspect them of socking for blocked accounts. Typical LS modus operandi - eolgi and Puerto Rico fixation. Already blocked for the vandalism but CU requested for sleepers as this is first possible case since 2016 Nthep (talk) 21:58, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Clerk endorsed - for sleepers please. Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 23:54, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mulasa2 and Hurricane Maria account Link Smurf LS eolgi (talk · contribs · count) are  Confirmed to each other. However, the location they are using does not match the location in the most recent CU logs. It's possible this is a sock impersonator, but I can't be sure which one.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:00, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • At this point, we're probably in WP:DENY territory, so it really doesn't matter so much. Closing. GABgab 00:08, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • I think it may be Link Smurf despite the geolocation, but I won't speculate why onwiki. Regardless, I agree that at this point the distinction is probably academic. --Rschen7754 01:26, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      • It gets weirder and weirder. Mulasa2 e-mailed me confessing. Normally, that wouldn't be sufficient to change my mind, but when he e-mailed me, he used a different IP from the one he used before when I posted my comments here. That IP's location matched his usual location. But it gets weirder. He created a whole bunch of accounts that were blocked by other admins and globally locked as a different, but no less notorious, sockmaster. If you have a moment, Rschen7754, I would like you to e-mail me with your thoughts on why you thought it was LS.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:42, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Classic Link Smurf MO: Interstates [32] , eolgi, and repetition [33]. I know it won't be official since it's an IP, but asking for CU to check for sleepers. –Fredddie 00:22, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Our friend Link Smurf is going crosswiki, so we're going to need a higher level of administration than we normally do. That being said, here are some diffs from those wikis so we can check for sleepers here. He's going to talk pages and posting the blocked editor message: [34] and harassing Imzadi1979: [35]Fredddie 03:27, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This should point to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Link Smurf. This is classic Link Smurf behavior. –Fredddie 04:32, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I received an email from each account here that said, "Eolgi means interstate". The Yɑıfpr‬ account said that it was moving on from impersonating Imzadi1979 and would now be impersonating Yarfpr. I can forward these onto the clerk if necessary. –Fredddie 21:04, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think this might be Link Smurf, just without the eolgi and porcelain stuff. Interested in highways, check. Puerto Rico IP, yup. Nothing about eolgi, Mario, or porcelain in their edits, though, so maybe they moved on but are still editing in the same topic or maybe I'm wrong, wouldn't hurt to check more thoroughly, although a CU may not get anything because of the network hopping used by this LTA. This IP does edit about the mobile game Cookie Run, though. wizzito | say hello! 06:24, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

One more comment: The IP mainly edits about Puerto Rico highways, but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Interstate_995 also shows their interest in US highways. wizzito | say hello! 06:30, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
