Suspected sockpuppets

[edit]

Evading a block to promote a YouTube channel. Khan028 has recreated Itrk70's Draft:The Mars and is adding images which are being uploaded to Commons today by the Itrk70 account. Belbury (talk) 12:16, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

[edit]

Amirdelv recreated the blocked user's draft about Nazim Ahmed's Rashid Khan's YouTube channel "The Mars" (Draft:The Mars (Indian TV series)) and moved it to mainspace after it was declined twice. Devedw3 created a redirect at Draft:The Mars to Amirdelv's article, ten minutes after Amirdelv moved it there. Belbury (talk) 09:46, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the option to move the page, so I moved it to the main space. Once I saw it was searchable, I informed my friend, who may have created a redirect page.
Even though the article is about a television series, as a Wikipedia contributor, I completed my contribution. So, what's wrong? Amirdelv (talk) 10:06, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The concern is that you may be the same person as User:Itrk70, or are acting on their direct instruction to restore the article that they created in November 2023. What is your connection to the Itrk70 Wikipedia account? Belbury (talk) 11:07, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am not User:Itrk70 and I am not restoring anyone's article. User:Itrk70 may be the ID of someone who was supposed to write an article on the same topic that I have created now. Amirdelv (talk) 14:10, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The user has now clarified on their talk and user page that Nazim Ahmed TRK Productions is paying them to create an article about his YouTube channel. Unknown whether earlier accounts that have tried to create this material were other paid editors, or Ahmed Rashid Khan himself. Belbury (talk) 14:44, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is everything clear then can you publish my article on mainspace? Or i need to do something else? Amirdelv (talk) 14:48, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your draft article was already rejected on 23 March for being not adequately supported by reliable sources, and you haven't addressed this in any way since then. Belbury (talk) 14:51, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So, what i have to do now. Amirdelv (talk) 14:53, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Try reading the feedback and advice you were given on the three declined drafts. Belbury (talk) 14:56, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WP:BOLDly adding Kaif902, created 18 April, well after this SPI was filed. Minutes after creation, they tried to add TRK Productions to Trk: [1], nearly identical to reverted previous attempt by Amirdelv [2]. Slept for 12 days, then awoke to recreate spammy Draft:The Rashid Khan, previously created by master and by blocked sock User:Georgek342. Also requesting checkuser. The first two are already blocked for abusing multiple accounts but no master is indicated. The master in this case is stale but it's pretty obvious these are all either the same editor or they're working for the same client, which is the same in terms of the policy. Based on what I see I believe it's been one person all along, and Itrk70 is probably not their first account. Since they have repeatedly chosen sockpuppetry over taking the advice that many editors have offered on how to get their article published, all are blocked indefinitely.
