Suspected sockpuppets

These accounts all have edits focusing on Patrick Matthew, Mick Sutton (criminologist), and their relation to Charles Darwin and Wallace. The alleged sockmaster is the oldest account I can identify.

  • 4 May 2010 - Bustermythmonger account created
    • Account still active.
    • Stared editing on Mike Sutton back in 2010 (e.g., [1])
    • Edited recently on Patrick Matthew to add ref to Sutton's work, similar to alleged socks ([2]).
    • Also edits on Mike Sutton ([3]).
    • Edit summaries use words similar to other alleged socks like "fallacy", "verifiable", and "factual". ([4])
    • These edits are recent, but the account is the oldest of them. Account was largely inactive during activity of alleged socks.
  • 28 January 2012 - Bendersghost account created
  • 16 January 2015 - TheScienceFraudSquad account created
  • Bendersghost's final edit was 8 July 2015
  • 31 December 2015 - BiasMonitor account created
  • 25 February 2016 - BiasMonitor is blocked by MusikAnimal for "sock puppetry" but it was unclear who the alleged sockmaster was. Edits solely on Patrick Matthew related to publications by Sutton and mentions Dave souza in edit summaries while reverting them (e.g., [14], [15], [16]).
  • 25 February 2016 - StopDeletingFactsAbout DarwinSouza is created and blocked (same day) by MusikAnimal. Edits solely on Patrick Matthew related to publications by Sutton and mentions Dave souza in edit summaries (e.g., [17])
  • 27 February 2016 - Oh For Veracity's Sake account created.
  • 12 March 2016 - Oh For Veracity's Sake starts editing on Patrick Matthew making edits related to Sutton (e.g., [18])

The evidence for is less clear but TheScienceFraudSquad references Dr. Mike Weale in an edit ([19]). Appears to be related to the whole Darwin/Matthew/Sutton controversy. Account created on 29 August 2014 and edited from then until 20 September 2014. Edits were in cases related to Patrick Matthew Project ([20]) which TheScienceFraudSquad ([21]) and Bendersghost ([22]) also added.

Because some accounts are not stale, I'm requesting CU. I know that some accounts are too old to be considered, but the alleged sockmaster and some alleged socks edited within the last month. EvergreenFir (talk) Please {{re}} 20:53, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
