Suspected sockpuppets

User Askave is hardly pushing as name of the Czech Republic word "Czechia". His behaviour is rude and uncivil (e.g. [1], [2]). Both IP´s and user are interested in Bilingual sign, where they support and argue in the same manner.

Same pattern in Latin names of countries

  • Askave [7]
  • 62.168.13.98 [8]
  • 195.113.59.254 [9]

IP 62.168.13.98 is working with Askave in his own sandbox [10], [11] etc., and is blocked for 3 days for edit warring.

All accounts are disrupting WP [12],[13], [14], [15]8 clearly against WP:DISRUPTPOINT.

He is contributing to the same page or discussion with multiple accounts to suggest that they are multiple people and/or editing logged out to mislead.

I need to know your finding, before he wil be reported for edit warring and disrupting of WP. Yopie (talk) 00:00, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting, there is coincidence between "Czechia" and Czech music. Editor Interaction Analyzer [16] is clear. --Yopie (talk) 22:38, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Accused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims. Yopie is paranoic. It and its friend Cimmerian praetor, Mewulwe, Toccata quarta, Pete unseth and other is one Sockpuppet. Yopie and its friends fanatically want the political names of states [17], but when I use the political name of state, they on the contrary want the geographical name of state [18], [19]. (The explanation: Slovakia is official geographical name of the Slovak Republic. Slovak Republic is official political name of Slovakia.) I think, that it is an idiotism.

I think, that Yopie does not understand the historiography too. Here [20] it wrote list is for the Roman names of countries, or significant regions, known to the Roman Empire, but he do not deleted Japan. Or do you think with Yopie, that Japan was known by Romans?

Send Yopie and its friend in good yield.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.168.13.98 (talk) 06:48, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is unprecendented and outrageous accusation I strictly reject. I declare, I do not act from any other IP address. I am fully responsible for all my contributions from my account, not for anything else. I suppose, I have right to support somebody with similar opinion, as well as vice versa. All the issue is absurd and its "creator", who accuses me from rude behaviour is well known to me, because he deleted several time my texts (full of facts, confirmed by references) without any reason, without any discussion and with apparent intention to erase something, which is not convenient to him. That behaviour is not probably rude for him, but my defense is. I would like my "rude" behaviour to be proved. All this action is only way how to discredit the user, which has different opinion and criticizes the state and level of some issue. Every my contribution can be substantiated. Maybe this is the problem :-), but absolutely not mine. Askave (talk) 15:04, 16 September 2013 (UTC).[reply]

I responded to the same accusation by Yopie on another page but I can repeat here again, quite briefly: It simply isn´t true. Similar opinions do not present any evidence of unfair play, do they? DaisyXL 21:29, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

I have had my account for several years with the same nick and same login which you can check. This is not one purpose account and I am not cheating.Geog25 (talk) 20:59, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am also suspected of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. I have and always had only one account. I do access this account on two different computers (at home and at work) but I am always logged in as Geog25. This obviously results in two IP addresses but since I am always logged in under the same name it should not be a problem. Please, let me know if logging in with the same name on two different computers at different times is prohibited.Geog25 (talk) 22:54, 1 October 2013 (UTC) One more note to administration: please check two IP addresses from which I have logged in as Geog25 to participate in the discussion to see from which country and city I have logged in. Then check whether any IP addresses in this discussion come from the same country and the same city. I bet you will not find a single one.Geog25 (talk) 01:21, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If Yopie really wants to find out when my activity has started he has to search through archives because all my earlier contributions to discussions and several edits were deleted as entire pages and discussions were deleted and are not available on Wikipedia anymore. I hope it can be found in archives. Yopie should also search when my account was actually created. Yopie's accusation is not supported by any credible evidence. I am beginning to suspect that Yopie's goal is to harass people who might have a different opinion from his, scare them and do not allow them to discuss. My only edit to the article Czechia - the name dispute was correcting one typo: oldier to older. Is this violating any Wikipedia policy? Is discussing a particular problem on the Talk page violation of any Wikipedia policy if it is done according to discussion rules? Please, let me know. Otherwise, please ask Yopie to stop harassing me and other users. I hope administrators will notice Yopie's behavior.Geog25 (talk) 14:38, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

New account with 25 edits all related to the same or very similar topics to the suspected Sockpuppeteer. Helveticus96 added material to Civic initiative Czechia then Askave did less than 2 hours later. Perhaps more tellingly, the user's first edit was a WP:FAKEARTICLE at User:Helveticus96, the same or almost the same as that at User:Askave. Both accounts demonstrate POV-pushing conduct: Helveticus96: "Our country needs a short name"; Askave: canvassing to keep POV-pushing article at AfD at a user talk page. Edited pages overlap quite considerably and this leads me to request an investigation. C679 19:04, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New account, only edit is POV pushing of Czechia. Also, Blanicky identifies himself(?) as Jan Blanický (not as a user name, but as actual name) on his user page and in several comments. Not sure if I am doing this anywhere near correctly. --Khajidha (talk) 12:41, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

I found numerous socks of Blanicky. I'm not sure he understands that he isn't supposed to use socks. He has even on occasion outright admitted proudly to using them, but this was many years ago. For these, I noticed this due to commonly used terms and editing patterns.

Cesko/Czechia
Wikimedia Tools observations
  • Heptapolein didn't come into existence until a few months after May 2016, when Blanicky had most of his socks blocked. Heptapolein was created in September, (right at the end of summer) and right off the bat seemed to know how to edit Wikipedia well.([31])
  • Another interesting thing is that all 4 accounts (Neewi, Blanicky, Jan Blanicky, and Heptapolein) have mostly edited on the English WP, and made a smaller, secondary amount of edits to the Czech one.
  • the first three accounts have a large number of edits outright deleted by admins, Heptapolein just broke his cherry there with his personal attacks to Talk:Name of the Czech Republic.
  • When comparing Blanicky and Heptapolein using the "Namespace totals" graph, they look practically identical. They both seem to love to focus on posting to user talk pages alongside regular article edits. Neewi seemed to be hellbent on catering to user pages.
  • There is a noticeable period where, from June 2011 to August 2011 (the summer of 2011), Blanicky took a break and Neewi's posting skyrocketed. In September, there is an obvious reversal, where Blanicky comes back, and Neewi slows his edits.
Similar focus
  • Also of note, when Jan Blanicky and Heptapolein both started their user pages they both included a very basic description of their "profession" and "Prague, Czechia."([32],[33])
  • Blanicky/Jan Blanicky and Neewi loved to focus on Vladimir Hirsch, Czech composers(ex. Jan Dismas Zelenka), and their Czechia campaign... Heptapolein focuses the most on... Vladimir Hirsch, Czech composers(ex. Jan Dismas Zelenka), and the Czechia campaign... Without a doubt, these four users are the same person.
IP edits
  • Blanicky seems to constantly forget, or obviously, edit with IPs, all showing via WHOIS that they are Prague, based, just like Heptapolein and Blanicky have stated as their location, with 109.80.140.32, 83.208.58.111, and 90.170.161.188 having the exact same address shown in WHOIS(Telefonica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. Za Brumlovkou 2. Prague 4 - 140 22. The Czech Republic):
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Czechia - the name dispute
  • This attracted the attention of Blanicky pretty heavily. He strongly and inappropriately made multiple votes.:
    • Askave, confirmed sockpuppet: 11 edits
    • Neewi: 4 edits
    • 109.80.140.32: 1 edit
Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Czechia - the name dispute
  • as mentioned previously, SoelProkop is a strange case of a a user being created and only making one edit, in this instance to retain an article about "Czechia." There are many other accounts on this article which were created to only given input there.
  • I think Blanicky really messed up here because not only is the edit to this talk page inappropriate, but he initially started out as an IP via 83.208.58.111 (talk · contribs).
Similar article edits
  • Vladimir Hirsch:
    • 109.80.140.32 - 23 edits
    • Blanicky - 25 edits
    • Jan Blanicky - 21 edits
    • Neewi - 14 edits
    • Heptapolein - 22 edits
  • Jan Dismas Zelenka:
    • 109.80.140.32 - 2 edits
    • Blanicky - 21 edits
    • Jan Blanicky - 2 edits
    • Heptapolein - 1 edit
    • Neewi - 1 edit
  • Skrol (created by Jan Blanicky):
    • 109.80.140.32 - 3 edits
    • Blanicky - 5 edits
    • Jan Blanicky - 8 edits
    • Heptapolein - 12 edits
    • Neewi - 4 edits
  • File:VladimirHirsch.jpg (created and authored by Jan Blanicky) has only 15 edits:
    • 109.80.140.32 - 1 edit
    • Blanicky - 1 edit
    • Jan Blanicky - creation
    • Neewi - 3 edits
    • 193.228.234.4 - 1 edit
  • Martina Sanollová, (Skrol and Vladimir Hirsch collaborator, had her article created on the Czech Wikipedia by "cz:User:JanBlanicky"([[48]]), and Heptapolein recreated the English article after it had already been PRODed.([[49]])
  • Mikuláš Medek Jan Blanicky created the article and Heptapolein has edited it 7 times. Thats the most for any editor on the article.

To show what I referenced above, again I will show lists of most edited articles amongst Heptapolein and Neewi, also with Blanicky and Jan Blanicky included, showing that they have uncanny similarities and their top editing priorities are nearly identical. (such as Skrol and Vladimir Hirsch, Martina Sanollová): [50], [51], [52], [53]

I am calling upon with all the information I have shown and Wikipedia:The duck test, to argue that this shows that Heptapolein is an obvious sockpuppet. - R9tgokunks 01:16, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • User_talk:Bermicourt/Archive_10&diff=prev&oldid=629018475 The IP 195.113.211.10 admitted to being Jan Blanicky. Said IP also made a pair of typo corrections to User:Neewi that seem like the sort of thing that a separate editor is not likely to do. ( User:Neewi&diff=prev&oldid=629037815 and User:Neewi&diff=prev&oldid=629037515) Most people leave other people's user pages alone no matter how poorly typed. That's one more that you can CONFIRM and one more that is PROBABLE. --Khajidha (talk) 18:26, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently I don't know how to link to page diffs, but they are all right there in the IP's contributions if you just go look. --Khajidha (talk) 18:34, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • The IP 90.180.161.188 made edits to Neewi's sandbox, this is also highly unusual. Probably the same user as Neewi. Which means probably the same as the previous IP. Which would make this IP likely to be Jan Blanicky. --Khajidha (talk) 18:30, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • The IP 109.80.140.32 made numerous edits to the page User:Blanicky, this is also odd and suggests that the IP is Blanicky. Who is a confirmed sock of User:Jan Blanicky. --Khajidha (talk) 18:32, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have no additional evidence, other than that Heptapolein is fairly SPA with "Czechia" and is headed for a block on their next edit of that type solely on the misbehavior of this specific account (regardless of other years-old socks). DMacks (talk) 04:44, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Previously already suspected at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Jan_Blanicky/Archive#08_June_2014. Checkuser was done and failed. I am now 100% sure after further investigating that this user is a sockpuppet or a meatpuppet.

Recent events have made me relook at this. User:Heptapolein was found to be a sock of his and I am strongly suspecting Helveticus96 once again. Either that, or he is a meatpuppet. It's one or the other. Not only does he seem to have only one cause, "[The Czechia Initiative]", I have found a Facebook page showing that the user, who gives his name on Wikipedia as Vaclac Sulista, is a paid or COI editor. (You can clearly see "Vaclav Sulista" listed as a member of this organization whose mission is"...to institutionalize and practically adopt the one-word name of the country." Upon furthur investigation, Helveticus seems to have edits/created many articles that Blanicky and socks have a vested interest in, and themself are likely a paid contributor in relation to.(Blanicky runs the site for Vladimir Hirsch, for example, and even sourced the site as being authored by "J Blanicky," as well as having been accused of COI editing before, earlier this year.)

I'm asking to relook at this because of the afformentioned as well as a few other things. In the invesitgation on Heveticus96 you performed a checkuser at 12:38 pm([[54]]), and then at 12:57 pm, now-confirmed sockpuppet Askave (talk · contribs) states "["Yes, we agree ! All of us are the one !! [link to Czechia Initiave FB"]]). This seems to have gone unnoticed, and the case was closed within 24 hours and no comment made about it.

Of note, Helveticus really picks up his editing in April 2016 within just weeks of Blanicky's two main accounts being banned in May. ([[55]]). I've also noticed via the "Editor Interaction analyser tool" that Helveticus has edited 26 of the same articles that Blanicky-linked socks have edited, notably the following, with some edits merely minutes apart, as in the case of some of the talk pages (mind you this is only via the English Wikipedia, not the Czech one or any of the others that the users are active at...:

In addition, they have many of the same articles that they have created when compared transwiki-style.

  • Helveticus created de:Mikuláš Medek, and Jan Blanicky created the English Mikuláš Medek
  • Martina Sanollová, was created by Blanicky and deleted n 2018 as a user discovered he was a COI editor, and his sock Heptapolein recreated it in Sepetmeber. Meanwhile, the German version de:Martina Sanollová was created by Helveticus. ([[60]])
  • Skrol, of which is another COI edit, was created by Jan Blanicky. the German version de:Skrol was created by Helveticus.

([[61]])

Major update

Upon even further digging, It can be confirmed that Helveticus is a sockpuppet or a meatpuppet. I am now 110% sure. I decided to take a look at the page for the so-called "Czechia Initiative" that Blanicky and Helveticus both are associated with. going back to the Czechia Initiative Facebook page shows that Helveticus loves to post stuff from his editing on Wikipedia, practically making a mockery out of the process in which Wikipedia works as well as the policy, as well as singling out comments made by Khajidha (talk · contribs). ([see post here]) I made a pretty interesting discovery. So we know that Blanicky is a friend/employee of Vladimir Hirsch, etc, via his admittance that he contributes to his website([[62]]), and that he has personally taken planned photos with him, of which he has uploaded numerous to Wikipedia.(example:[[63]]. partial list:[[0,4,5,6,8,10,100}]])

I used that list and when going to the page for "Czechia Initiative" noticed that many of the photos on the site were uploaded by Blanicky with the claim that he took the photos, as well. ([[0,4,5,6,8,10,100} compare the list here]], with [the site's gallery here]; for a specific example:[shirt merchandise photo on Wikipedia ("own work")], and the [same damn photo right on the front page of the Czechia Initiative website.]) After that I decided to check the ["About us" page] to see if anyone was dumb enough to put their names as a member. Here is the list:

  • Leoš Jeleček
  • Eva Horová
  • Pavel Krejčí
  • Vladimír Hirsch (surprise!)
  • Vladimír Filip
  • Václav Šulista (User:Helveticus96, surprise again!)
  • Jiří Felix
  • Libuše Čižmárová
  • Zdeněk Kukal
  • Petr Pavlínek
  • Martina Sanollová (article recently deleted due to being created by Blanicky, German version still up and created by Helveticus)
  • Petr Schnur
addendum: Blanicky was apart of this organization as of 2011, as he mentions here: [[64]].
  • EDITORIAL BOARD:
  • Vladimír Hirsch, Eva Horová

There is no way these edits are not coordinated. If they aren't the same person, there is no way they went 4+ years without knowing each other. The fact that they did not divulge this, yet helped each other edit the same articles, argue against the same people, is a controversy in itself. This is a clear breach of Wikipedia:COI, Wikipedia:Advocacy, and Wikipedia:Sockpuppet. Helveticus needs to be banned immediately for being a sockpuppet/meatpuppet, and in the slim chance he is not banned, at the very least needs to be topic banned from everything "Czechia", "Czechia Initiave", and "Vladimir Hirsch"-related. There is a clear conspiracy amongst these people to support each other and the organization and the agenda through their edits and page creations, I also propose deleting any article related to persons involved in the organization.

ADDED DECEMBER 5 2018
  • Jan Blanicky is a producer and collaborator on Vladimir Hirsch records, alongside working with him in Czechia Initiave and running his website, all per discogs.com and allmusic: ([discogs] - [allmusic])
  • Jan Blanicky is also listed as the "booking agent for him" at [[65]].
  • Jan Blanicky has written numerous posts at the blogspot for him as well. [[66]]
