Suspected sockpuppets

Both have been involved in creating articles on the AfterEight Band and adding links about that band and about MessesaryMist Bulacan to List of people from Bulacan. AfterOtso06 is indefinitely blocked. —Largo Plazo (talk) 10:13, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

At least half of the picture will come not from diffs but from articles that have been deleted. Just looking at the TOC at User talk:AfterOtso06 and User talk:Judyannemendoza109 shows that the former created articles on MessesaryMist Bulacan and AfterEight Band on August 24 or 25, while the latter also created AfterEight Band, After8 (band), After8 (Band), and After8 personnel, as well as AfterOtso Production. ("Otso" is Tagalog for "eight", so the user name AfterOtso06 and the article names all go together.)

As for diffs:

  • AfterOtso06 took an existing article called Aftereight, about a different band, and replaced it with one of his own.[1]
  • AfterOtso06 replaced an existing entry in List of people from Bulacan with one for MessesaryMist.[2][3][4]
  • AfterOtso06 added an entry to the same article for AfterEight.[5]
  • Judyannemendoza109 adjusted both entries.[6][7]
  • After C.Fred removed both entries as non-notable, AfterOtso06 restored the one for MessesaryMist.[8] C.Fred again removed it. Then IP user User:121.54.54.129 readded.[9] before vandalizing the list article outright by adding lengthy promotional content about both bands to it.[10]
  • I reverted the IP user's additions, and then Judyannemendoza109 restored the MessesaryMist entry.[11]
  • I again removed it, and then the IP user put it back.[12]
  • On September 8, Judyannemendoza109 added two After8 mentions to Narda, where they were reverted by MaterialScientist.[13][14]
  • Also on September 8, Judyannemendoza109 created After8 (disambiguation), strangely enough, to disambiguate between the candy brand name After Eight and the U.S. band that Aftereight was originally about, though RHaworth has now redirected it altogether to another article about the same U.S. band under its current name.

  1. At least one diff is from the sockmaster (or an account already blocked as a confirmed sockpuppet of the sockmaster), showing the behaviour characteristic of the sockmaster.
  2. At least one diff per suspected sockpuppet, showing the suspected sockpuppet emulating the behaviour of the sockmaster given in the first diff.

Suspected sockpuppets


Both socks were caught editing and re-adding the deleted entries from the sockpuppets of AfterOtso06 (Asin (band) and Yano). Diannedelrosario99 added a copyrighted album cover to the Yano article as an infobox picture. After Jojit fb removed the copyvio photo, AdmiralDudut added a different copyrighted album cover. WP:DUCK case. Has "Yano" in his username, tags every Filipino artist he edits to be influenced by Yano, heavily edited the Yano article, readding this photo of one of his socks to the List of radio stations in Central Luzon article, and recreated the Ej Santos article as a redirect to Yano. - WayKurat (talk) 13:03, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Another WP:DUCK case. User is created hours after the most recent sock User:JrMadarangYano2015 got blocked through SPI. Re-added the photo uploaded by one of the confirmed socks in the Asin (band) article (1). Kindly check for sleepers. - WayKurat (talk) 00:58, 19 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

Duck case. I'm not sure about this but it looks like these accounts are connected to the sockpuppeteer. They are all editing articles about Filipino musicians using a mobile device (see their contributions). Some of them are making threats to some users ([20] [21] [22]) and one of them claims to be Mcoy Fundales ([23]) while the other recreated the Ej Santos page which is one of the pages that the sockpuppeteer created.
