Lori Goldstein is one of the fashion industry's leading editor. Given how fast fashion is growing, a wiki page should be made available to better inform the people around the world seeing or searching her work in international publications, television, celebrity work and advertisements that has spanned over 30 years. She has spearheaded the profession of "Styling" and has written a book chronicling her all of her work with politicians, musicians, models, artists, etc. If Wikipedia is to be used as a nonprofit reference site for millions of people, then posts about certain topics should not be deleted/or tagged for deletion just because an administrator is not informed about that topic. -Bsmith55 (talk) 21:21, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

Not done. There is no benefit to the Wikipedia project in restoring a blatantly promotional article, especially an bio article that cites no independent reliable sources. Please use Facebook or your own website for publicity purposes, not Wikipedia. To re-state your last statement, articles should not be kept just because the author is not informed about Wikipedia's editorial policies and guidelines (specifically WP:BLP, WP:GNG, WP:NOTPROMOTION). See Wikipedia:Golden Rule to understand the basics of what a Wikipedia article requires for acceptance here. Boston Brass

I am writing in inquiry to your deletion of the Boston Brass from wikipedia. The Boston Brass is a significant Chamber Ensemble and one of only three Full time Brass Quintets touring in the U.S. The other two being Canadian Brass and Dallas Brass (both of whom have wikipedia pages). The Boston Brass has released 8 albums and tours the world 160 days per year, more almost any other brass ensemble. The group is also an ambassador for the embassy of the United States Art and Artists whom they have been asked to perform for in Austria this coming June. Each of the players in the group are highly accomplished musicians in their own right and the ensemble is highly acclaimed in the chamber music world. The group has held residencies and taught masterclasses at the most prestigious conservatories and Universities in the world, as stated in the bio at Boston Brass.com. In addition, the group has created new brass arrangements and content and is currently touring shows that they created with other wikipedia noted ensembles such as the Imani Winds and the Enso String Quartet. The group was most recently performed the main featured event for ITEC (International Tuba and Euphonium Conference) which is also a wikipedia acknowledged organization. I am new to wikipedia posting, but can see that you have far less known and accomplished brass quintets with wikipedia pages. Is there a way to add Boston Brass without being deleted? The group is very deserving of being in the category of Brass Quintets being that it has been a staple in the brass chamber music world for over 25 years. Thank you for your consideration. The Boston Brass are prize winners in the International Brass Competition in Narbonne, France in 1992. 12. Some checking brought up this link and this one, which shows that most of the article was directly taken from another source. If you can show where her work has received coverage in reliable sources then we could see about re-creating the article, but we would need something such as newspaper coverage of her work. For the deletion, the reason was marked at A7, but Agilefant is an open source agile project management tool i.e. software, which by no means falls under the individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events categories. Please advise.

    • Ah. In that case, this isn't really the forum for that. No one on this page can make promises that an article won't be deleted. I'm not familiar with the notability guidelines for sports teams but your best bet is to add multiple, independent sources to the page. Once you've done that you're probably good to go. I request the undeletion of this sandbox and if possible some of my other sandbox's. I requested deletion after the completion of an outisde projection as I did not see any requirment for them on wikipedia there after. Reason "No evidnce of notability" given for deletion is demonstrably false. Attn: David Troutman; My coauthor and I agree that the best approach here is to write a new article using our arxiv paper (or its soon to be peer review published version) as a source as well as other sources. Use will be made of a significant bibliography known on non-inertial frames. An introduction using some of these will be written.   • I'm afraid I can't restore this because it was deleted as copyright infringement of the paper in question. If you're the author you could do a few things, none of which are very appealing, I'm afraid. First, if you want to retain the original draft article which copies large amounts of text from the paper, you would have to release the original paper under a compatible license. That means anyone could reuse, edit and republish the material under any circumstances provided they provide attribution. As this conflicts with many journal requirements to temporarily exclusively license the contents of a paper, I don't recommend doing that for a pre-print. Second, you could re-write the article as a summary of the concepts laid out in your printed paper, although that's not likely to be very satisfactory for you either. Wikipedia is not a publisher of first instance and material which is appropriate for a scientific journal is not likely to translate well to a general purpose encyclopedia.   • Not done and will not be done The page was very, VERY promotional in tone and came across as an advertisement for the company rather than a neutral and encyclopedic article. At best it was a personal essay about consumer reviews and how they can help/hurt a company, but even then it is still written in a way that would highlight Bazaarify in a positive manner. I also noted that the sources didn't really seem to actually be about the company, but about consumer reviews in general. Sources must actually discuss the subject of the article (in this case Bazaarify) and they must be in-depth and independent of the subject. I can't find anything out there that would show that the company would pass notability guidelines, as the only stuff I'm finding are press releases, which count as WP:PRIMARY sources.   • Not done I hemmed and hawed over this, but ultimately there were a few things that bothered me. First is that the article was only sourced by WP:PRIMARY sources, meaning that you only showed sources that were written by Hodak. Writing for a notable publication doesn't mean that the author is automatically notable and we still require in-depth WP:RS that are independent of Hodak, meaning that they are about him and aren't published by one of his employers. Secondly, the article was somewhat promotional in nature and read like it was fairly liberally paraphrased from an official press release or staff bio about him. It'd have to be completely written in order to remove the slightly peacock phrasing. The tone bothered me, but not as much as the potential for it to be WP:COPYVIO. I tried to see if there were any sources out there, but I couldn't really find any that weren't primary in one form or another. The best I was able to find was this book mention, and I don't really see where he'd ultimately pass notability guidelines. We could use him as a source in other articles to be sure, but being a reliable source doesn't always pan out to notability. If you can find some reviews of his books, that would help immensely.   • I restored this because I can see where there is the possibility for notability, as I was able to pick up some references in a casual search ([1]) and it looks like they made the Debel Gallery. However at the same time, I do need to caution you about editing with a WP:COI because it looks like you are related to them. I would also like to ask that you maybe look into writing one good solid article about Etienne Debel and merge information from Debel Gallery into it, so we can combine it all into one page as opposed to many smaller articles. I would also recommend that you get assistance from Wikipedia:WikiProject Israel, as they can help you avoid common COI mistakes as well as help look for reliable sources, especially if they are not in English.
