From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on February 14, 2025.

Davids wars of Conquest

[edit]

Weird punctuation and capitalization. None of the more likely redirects (e.g. David's wars of conquest) exist. Rusalkii (talk) 23:29, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-Muslim propaganda on Facebook

[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy close. for technical reasons related to the redirect itself not having been properly edited (non-admin closure) consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 11:05, 15 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

More accurate. @Luizpuodzius and Xavier1824: 2804:14C:5BB1:9473:65D7:D0EB:F64A:3FD4 (talk) 22:02, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Scimmy

[edit]

results gave me runescape. i have no idea what to make of this, but it's really funny. created by a blocked vandal, so it might be speediable. but i'm not betting on it consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 19:23, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Aldaspan

[edit]

a turkic sword, according to the history. unmentioned, now that the target section is gone. was blar'd in 2013 as an unsourced stub (which doesn't actually describe its shape, annoyingly). results gave me a potentially almost notable band and... daggers? go drunk google, you're home consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 19:18, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Near Eastern sword

[edit]

the near east is a different thing from the middle east. while technically correct, as it does house a good handful of countries scimitars are associated with, it's like referring to cheese as "that thing that goes in burgers" when it has at least 2 other uses. maybe it's a plausible mistranslation? consarn (prison phone) (crime record) 19:13, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ouija Board Criticism

[edit]

Unlikely search term (particularly considering the capitalization), unlinked to internally, and redirects to a no-longer-extant section of the article (the criticism of Ouija being dispersed to various sections.) Nat Gertler (talk) 16:17, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative Learning Center

[edit]

This content only lasted 2 months in 2008 and was completely unreferenced. However, many articles [1] have "Alternative Learning Center" sections, or entire articles about one, while this target does not. Seems like a missing article on a generic topic, or a dab list should exist. -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 06:26, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as I have reviewed all mentions of the term and there does not seem to be a suitable target. However it may need to be kept as content was added to and then removed from Edmonson County High School in 2008. The UK equivalent, Pupil Referral Unit has its own article.
Alternatively, it might be possible to add a sourced sentence to High school in the United States (or a similar article) and point the redirect there. TSventon (talk) 17:50, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The edit history can be displaced to Edmonson County High School Alternative Learning Center to clear the base location of the troublesome history -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 05:16, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was speedy delete per WP:CSD#R3. plicit 11:40, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Very unlikely that someone makes this typo. 🌙Eclipse (she/they/it/other neostalkedits) 10:42, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

it was a mistake, I made the recirect by mistake, thanks for not templating me. ill ask for it to be deleted. Anthony2106 (talk) 11:30, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ravinder Kumar (wrestler)

[edit]

This was originally this redirect. Then an editor came and hijacked the redirect, turned it into an article and it was nominated for AFD. It was reverted back to a redirect but there doesn't seem to be any connection between a Ravinder Kumar and a Ravinder Singh at least according to Singh's article. Liz Read! Talk! 07:15, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Cackalacky

[edit]

This redirect is currently useless because the article does not contain this word, and so gives no explanation as to why the redirect exists. Either a section should be added to the article explaining nicknames, or the redirect should be deleted as useless. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:56, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete I found a couple of sources attesting to the nickname, but it looks like the primary topic for this phrase may actually be a brand of food products mentioned on a couple articles. None of the articles seem to give much information on the brand, so I think a redlink is best here. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 16:54, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Tau Ursae Minoris

[edit]

Not mentioned in the target page. 21 Andromedae (talk) 14:55, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned as a name for RR UMi on Simbad or VSX site. PopePompus (talk) 17:04, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've noticed that SIMBAD sometimes omits some old designations originating in Flamsteed, Bayer, Gould naming systems. If I'm looking at some 19th or 18th century work with these designations, they don't show up when I try to look it up in SIMBAD. -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 05:06, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: While there's a few comments, there doesn't seem to be a strong consensus here. I think this could benefit from further discussion.

Calling all engines-deleted scenes

[edit]

There is no article for film. RanDom 404 (talk) 02:05, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Was merged to a now-deleted article in 2006, and there's no deleted scenes section at the target. Would get deleted if sent to AFD. Weirdly, there's a pretty high amount of pageviews here, but I don't think there's anywhere to point the redirect, so Delete. Skarmory (talk • contribs) 14:43, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Jhoom

[edit]

Appears to be an alternate spelling of Jhum, which has its own article. — Anonymous 01:07, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
