Roland Burris Burial Site

The result of the discussion was retarget to Roland Burris#Personal life and education. plicit 11:29, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The relevant section has since been removed, and the burial site is only linked from Roland Burris and a see-also at Burris. We could logically redirect this to Roland Burris, but we'd then realistically need to remove those incoming links as circular and redundant, respectively. Better, I think, to delete this, and recreate it later if the situation warrants (presumably not before his actual death). BDD (talk) 15:13, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect not mentioned at target. Off the top of my head this is some youtuber who makes jokes like this. Whether he is notable enough to be mentioned on it, I don't know, but as it stands no reason to redirect. PARAKANYAA (talk) 20:51, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - This looks like a plain example of a vanity redirect. You know the expression, "If you look up **** in the dictionary (on wikipedia), you'll see a picture of (thing rhetorically being associated strongly with ****)"... someone is trying to make sort of thing actually happen for this guy. We shouldn't oblige. Fieari (talk) 06:17, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • As the person who made the redirect, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Why are you accusing me of creating the redirect out of vanity? I simply created it because I thought the character was notable and well known enough to be a viable search term on Wikipedia. gangplank galleon (talk) 09:45, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • If he was a notable youtuber, the solution would be to make an article for him, not redirect to an article about the sort of thing he does... you may not have intended it as vanity, but the end result is indistinguishable from it. I don't think he's going to meet the notability standards though: see the project YouTube essay on youtuber notability here. Under the assumption he's not a notable youtuber, and we have no mentions of him on wikipedia, then the only solution is to delete. Fieari (talk) 00:00, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think these should point at the same target? (Also, definitely not primary, but there is a song on Cat Spectacular! with this title.) 1234qwer1234qwer4 17:15, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some overly capitalized redirects

Based on the capitalizations used, these are not likely or useful redirects (WP:RCAPS). Note that these were all created by the same user, and there were a lot more, but they've been R3 tagged (no spaces between commas and words, punctuation at the end, etc., perhaps these should have been R3 tagged as well). Hey man im josh (talk) 14:10, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete all - recently created. If these were older ones I would have reconsidered. I wouldn't mind some of these in proper case. However, R3 is for typos and misnomers, and these are neither. Jay 💬 14:30, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that's kind of where I struggle @Jay. I don't think all caps are necessarily R3 eligible, but I have seen some people process similar ones. It just didn't feel right for me to R3 all of these though because it doesn't fit the description of the criteria, even if it's applied slightly differently in practice sometimes. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:23, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
delete all as raw. a lot of those aren't even committed to being in all caps cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 15:41, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:PANDORA. Not useful -1ctinus📝🗨 16:46, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WP:PANDORA is not a reason to delete anything, it's a misleadling harmful mix of WP:OTHERSTUFF, WP:CRYSTAL and WP:IDONTLIKEIT. Some all caps redirects are unquestionably useful, others are not. Thryduulf (talk) 19:47, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like you should create a counter essay to WP:PANDORA, which itself is a part of a counter essay to WP:CHEAP. lol -1ctinus📝🗨 15:49, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No such list at the target article, and there does not seem to be any applicable target in any of the Sonic-related subtopic articles either. Steel1943 (talk) 01:02, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

delete. list not present, sonic isn't known for having a clear definition of "item" (are wisps items?), list unlikely to be present since wikipedia isn't known for being a game guide cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 17:43, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at target, and at least "Canon Professional Services" only seems to have passing mentions. Tagged as {{R to article without mention}} in 2018 but should probably have just been RfDed back then already. 1234qwer1234qwer4 03:53, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Double digest" is better known for being a marketing term used by Archie Comics than as a synonym for restriction digest. In fact, the current redirect target does not mention "double digest". Kinopiko talk 00:34, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
