Page move error, the article was only at that title for two minutes back in 2007. -- Tavix (talk) 20:57, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak delete as a typo in a long title, although Austrailia is a very plausible typo on its own. Duckmather (talk) 21:54, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, won't be plausibly useful. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:43, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think this former disambiguation page would be better targeted at Western Sahara, and the (disambiguation) link deleted. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:51, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish translation of term; WP:RLANG. ArcticSeeress (talk) 18:43, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak keep: Honestly, a bit unsure as to what to do here. This page was created then the same user who created this page created es:Perro de asistencia on eswiki with the same content which is still an article. I think that this might need to be kept for attribution, but I'm honestly unsure TartarTorte 19:51, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:RLANG. The Spanish article is the one that has the attribution, not the English article. The English article just has the single edit by Dhidalgo, +2,091 bytes. The Spanish article has the same edit (+2094) and then Dhidalgo developed it further to 3620 bytes before others started editing it. If it were the other way around, then the question of attribution may be in play. -- Tavix (talk) 20:40, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete attribution can be made with a m:HELP:transwiki to ES.wiki -- 67.70.25.175 (talk) 23:51, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

From my WP:BEFORE, this seems to potentially be a legal term used in India but I cannot find an appropriate target for it and the current target seems to not be what the term means. TartarTorte 18:05, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguous search term that never exclusively refers to one extremely minor background character in Jabba's palace. Delete due to ambiguity, or maybe there is a better target (unlikely). TNstingray (talk) 16:04, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect from person's real name to the event they are noted as being an instigator of (per e.g. [1], [2]) though they are not named in the article or anywhere else on Wikipedia (other than this redirect) and probably shouldn't be per WP:BLPPRIVACY. I declined R3 because this is not implausible, but is the redirect appropriate? Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:36, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A lot wrong with this one: "Parc" is French, "nacional" is Spanish, "Volcan" is spelled without a diacritic even though Irazú is (or "Volcan" is actually French again). The target is a place in Costa Rica, a country with zero French influence. Just a mishmash of different issues ArcticSeeress (talk) 11:30, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to dab page since there are many other companies named "Apple". — Preceding unsigned comment added by RapMonstaXY (talkcontribs) 11:18, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, this is the primary topic for companies named Apple. In case someone is looking for a different company, there is a hatnote to the disambiguation. -- Tavix (talk) 13:16, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 17:42, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. There are no other companies named simply "Apple". There are a few partial title matches, but even if we counted those, this would be the primary topic. Station1 (talk) 19:59, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would say that (at least) Apple Corp and Apple Comics could plausibly be referred to by "Apple". For example, both articles use a bare "Apple" multiple times in the lede. -- Tavix (talk) 20:47, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sure, as PTMs they might be referred to as Apple for short after first establishing the full names, but they would never, or virtually never, be referred to solely as Apple and wouldn't be expected to use the article title Apple (company). As you noted, the hatnote is there for the handful of readers who might be looking for something other than Apple Inc. Station1 (talk) 04:46, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I find no evidence that "Leach." (with the full stop) is used a taxonomic abbreviation for Leach (as it isn't an abbreviation of his name), seems like a mistake? Fram (talk) 09:52, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete standardized taxonomic authority abbreviations that are unique to a single person only exist for botanists, not for zoologists. William Elford Leach was a zoologist. Botanical authority abbreviations either have the full surname without a full stop (but potentially with abbreviated forenames with full stops) or an abbreviation of the surname with a full stop. There are five botanists with the surname Leach (all of whom have standardized abbreviations with initials of the their forenames). There is at least one other zoologist with the surname Leach, John Albert Leach. I'm not sure if John Albert described any new taxa (which would lead to him being credited as a taxonomic authority for those taxa), but he did do some work as a taxonomist (reclassifying taxa described by other people). Plantdrew (talk) 20:29, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Thank you, User:Plantdrew. I knew nothing about taxonomic authority abbreviations, but get a certain satisfaction out of seeing a really detailed really obscure explanation that can be understood by a chemist. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:02, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
