  • Delete: I have no idea what this redirect is supposed to mean. There is no apparent connection to the target, based on the searches I have done; moreover, the page gets next to no traffic. Edward-Woodrow (talk) 22:02, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the edit summary when the redirect was created states Creating a redirect for the automobile air conditioner manufacturer that had a Philippine branch open in Makati in November 1992. That said, I cannot find anything about this company besides yellow pages entries, so per WP:NOTDIRECTORY no Wikipedia article would ever cover this topic and so we have nowhere to point this. 59.149.117.119 (talk) 00:38, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't make sense to redirect this title to the redirect's subject's potential director when the subject of the redirect may be attached to other notable subjects with articles. Also, WP:REDLINK applies. Steel1943 (talk) 19:25, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) Compassionate727 (T·C) 13:51, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A significant amount of time has elapsed since Charles III became king, and he is no longer primarily referred to as Prince Charles. "Charles, Prince of Wales" could refer to one of three monarchs, and "Prince Charles" could refer to any one of several dozen people with this name. Векочел (talk) 14:54, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep I do not think it is a significant amount of time at all in the grand scheme of things. He was Prince of Wales for over 60 years and is by far the Charles most associated with the Prince of Wales and Prince Charles titles.-- Pawnkingthree (talk) 15:07, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: the current king is still the primary topic that almost all readers searching for "Prince Charles" or "Charles, Prince of Wales" (or, perhaps more significantly, redirected from an existing link) will be looking for. Rosbif73 (talk) 15:10, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep isn't helpful to our redirects to not redirect it to his current article at this point. Skynxnex (talk) 15:32, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: There are a lot of pages with Prince Charles that redirect to Charles III. So deleting it may mess up a lot of redirects on various pages. DDMS123 (talk) 18:35, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep on @DDMS123's grounds alone. There's almost a thousand of those, indeed. Likely automatable edits for sure, but a modicum of prior process elsewhere on the question of "and do we want to make all those edits to all those articles for little other purpose?" wouldn't be excessive. For one thing, manual review would be preferable to decide whether what link text is contextually appropriate would be the better method. 109.etc (talk) 01:31, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, as he's now the British monarch & has been for over seven months. GoodDay (talk) 01:51, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Surely then if there's more people for whom this moniker is appropriate, you don't want to actually delete the redirect but rather move Prince Charles (disambiguation) there? --Joy (talk) 08:52, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep “Prince Charles” will always refer to Charles III for most people. He was called that for the majority of his life and only became Charles III towards the end of it. Dronebogus (talk) 21:16, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: I'm only here because I searched "Prince Charles" assuming it would get me to Charles quickly. Jlalbion (talk) 22:42, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep (for now). He's still the primary topic for the name, even if he's not legally "Prince Charles" anymore. In the future, this could change, but for now it should stay as is. Estar8806 (talk) 19:30, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as primary topic. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 21:01, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, still primary. DankJae 21:14, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Technically Charles III isn't Prince Charles any more, but he held that title for so long, and is still primary for it.  — Amakuru (talk) 09:41, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong keep he was called that for most of his life, this is WP:RECENTISM. Dronebogus (talk) 00:11, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy keep, surprisingly there's even more inbound links to this, notwithstanding it be a much less common and more formal form of his name and title. Some democratic centralism on what to do with those first should be undertaken prior to any consideration of deletion. 109.etc (talk) 01:36, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - He's been the British monarch for over seven months, now. GoodDay (talk) 01:55, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Compared to being Prince of Wales for over 70 years? Dronebogus (talk) 21:18, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, compared to that. I certainly hope we don't have any "Edward, Princes of Wales" or "Prince Edward" redirects, for Edward VII & Edward VIII. GoodDay (talk) 23:16, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why the hell would we not? This redirect and those redirects refer to very important titles they held. Whether they are the current holders of the title is irrelevant. I don't suppose you want President Donald Trump to be deleted? J947edits 06:08, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Concerning "Donald Trump", I wouldn't oppose. GoodDay (talk) 19:35, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Surely then if there's more people for whom this moniker is appropriate, you don't want to actually delete the redirect but rather move Charles, Prince of Wales (disambiguation) there? --Joy (talk) 08:51, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, as others have pointed out he was known as Prince of Wales for considerably longer. The fact he's only been King for a sort time is actually the primary argument for keeping the redirect - his official duties and title for over 50 years was "Prince of Wales". If Edward VIII doesn't have asimilar redirect, then maybe he should (having only been King for a few months) per WP:NOPIPE. Sionk (talk) 12:39, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong keep - Deletion would break thousands of links. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 16:29, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as primary topic. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 21:02, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, still primary. DankJae 21:15, 16 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per my rationale at Prince Charles above. Pawnkingthree (talk) 10:58, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. signed, Rosguill talk 21:49, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It seems this subject is mentioned sparingly at the target article, but not enough to warrant a redirect to the tastier or a section in the target if the reader is expecting to find specific information about the subject of these redirects. (The redirect Influences of other musical styles on Heavy Metal is a {{R with history}} that was WP:BLARed in 2006.) Steel1943 (talk) 18:06, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete extremely unlikely search target Dronebogus (talk) 00:12, 15 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. This should be a section at Heavy metal music. Refining to 1950s-1960s is not ideal. Were there no influences post 1970, regardless of whether the article mentions it? Addition of the word "early" to the redirect title would have made sense if refining to 1950s-1960s, and again the title would become long and convoluted like Early influences of music styles on Heavy Metal, or something similar. The pre-BLAR content is not significant to be retained. Jay 💬 07:08, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
