I've never heard this name used for the topic, and a Google search mostly brings up a 2015 political theory book and content about Barry Goldwater in the 1960s. Hog Farm Bacon 19:30, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete too vague to be useful redirect or dab. (t · c) buidhe 20:12, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. My first thought was a back-bench rebellion of Conservative MPs in the House of Commons, but there's nothing in that that I think would be suitable for a dab page entry - and obviously there have been many of them over the years, and I presume that similar has happened in other countries too in addition to other meanings. Thryduulf (talk) 20:41, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom and consensus for all these "what caused the civil war" and "how the civil war started" redirects back in 2015. Which conservative (itself dependent on the culture) rebellion? Also, we don't have Liberal Rebellion or Libertarian Rebellion or even Moderate Rebellion. Regards, SONIC678 23:01, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as ambiguous. This and similar terms are routinely used in mainstream UK newspapers in relation to the Conservative Party (UK). See e.g. the opening paragraph of this article in The Guardian from March 2020. Narky Blert (talk) 07:27, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Johnnie may be best known in UK for his closing words in one of his wife's live TV cookery programmes, "And I hope all your doughnuts turn out like Fanny's". This may be even funnier in British English than in American. Narky Blert (talk) 11:37, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect is currently broken from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schindler%27s_Ark as a description of Oskar Schindler. The result of the discussion was soft redirect to Wikt:🍜. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 03:03, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

According to emojipedia, this emoji is "A bowl of steaming-hot food. Depicted as Japanese ramen (noodles in broth) with chopsticks on most platforms, though it can represent a warm meal more generally." So, I do not know what should be the apprropriate redirect for this emoji. Neel.arunabh (talk) 17:56, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Neel.arunabh: You left a link to the wrong entry. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 20:03, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to ramen This seems like the more likely meaning of this. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 20:03, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to ramen. This seems like a more appropriate target. Captain Galaxy (talk) 20:05, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't retarget to Ramen This character is "U+1F35C STEAMING BOWL" so "bowl" is a bit broader than the meaning but "Ramen" is very significantly narrower and so will be misleading or incorrect in at least some cases - depictions vary between systems, can be ambiguous and can change over time so we should not pay much attention to that. If we have nothing that more closely matches "Steaming bowl (of food)" than "bowl" then keeping it as is is the best course of action. Thryduulf (talk) 22:45, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Miscellaneous Symbols and Pictographs, the article on the Unicode block, which at least tells the user the name of this character if they mouse-over it in the table. Most likely the reader is not trying to find information on steam or bowls or whatnot; they are trying to find what the character itself is. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 03:00, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Soft redirect to wikt:🍜. I had no idea that Wiktionary had entries for emojis, but this seems like the most informative target; it tells the reader much more than Miscellaneous Symbols and Pictographs does. The emoji seems too ambiguous to be a useful redirect to either ramen or bowl. Spicy (talk) 07:31, 11 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'd also be fine with this. Far better than pointing to some vaguely related article about one of the things pictured in the emoji. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 02:34, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Soft redirect to wikt:🍜 per Spicy. In the odd scenario where a user searches for this, finding it in that massive page will be frustrating to the searcher. It started hurting my eyes trying to find it in there. -2pou (talk) 19:27, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Considering Jamrod doesn't exist and third party search engines seem to not have any items regarding this misspelling, I'd say delete as an unlikely misspelling to reduce searchbar clutter and improve its usefulness. Steel1943 (talk) 15:39, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep: A Google search shows a fair number of sources using "Battle of Jamrod". Jamrod seems to be an alternate transliteration of the Urdu جمرود. Jamrūd is also common. I image the vowel does not have an exact Latin equivalent. Aymatth2 (talk) 16:02, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was soft redirect to wiktionary. signed, Rosguill talk 01:34, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The current target of this redirect provides no information about what "DFTT" means. "DFTT" is mentioned at New Zealand Air Training Corps, where it says that "DFTT" stands for "Dry Firing Training Test", and in Wiktionary at wikt:DFTT, which claims that it is an initialism of "don't feed the troll". So should this redirect be retargetted to New Zealand Air Training Corps or soft redirected to wikt:DFTT? Not a very active user (talk) 08:15, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Given we have WP:DFTT with almost a thousand links, I think it's useful to be able to look up what DFTT means and have a reasonable/easy way to find that meaning. Soft-redirect to wikt sounds reasonable. DMacks (talk) 09:14, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in target article, or anywhere else on enwiki. It's a word one of the characters tries to play in a Scrabble game in one panel of one strip, this is far beyond the scope of Wikipedia to mention. Hog Farm Bacon 03:47, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Though I'm listed as the creator, there's some deleted history. This redirect dates back to July 2008, originally as a redirect to Scrabble, and was retargeted to Calvin and Hobbes in December 2009; though that is an especially hilarious strip (I think it's technically in 2 panels from that day, but I digress), neither article has ever contained it. In January 2018 it was improperly deleted per R3, but when I recreated it I didn't bother undeleting since 2 of the 5 deleted revisions were low-level vandalism. I have no opinion on whether or not to keep it. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 04:47, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
