Not mentioned in target article. WP:RNEUTRAL states The exceptions to this rule would be redirects that are not established terms and are unlikely to be useful, and therefore may be nominated for deletion, perhaps under deletion reason #3. Since this is both derogatory and not something I'm finding in a search through reliable sources, this should probably be deleted. Hog Farm Bacon 22:31, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Back in early November 2019, these redirects' targets were moved to "fix" the titles because of the repeated "Wikipedia talk" that I'm not 100% sure people would search, in turn after a "WikiProject downgrade." Plus, they got only 10 and 1 pageviews respectively since July 2015...not sure why they should still be lying around. Regards, SONIC678 20:09, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely name for the given target. IceWelder [] 09:04, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading redirect. Big Rigs Racing is a 2008 game by ValuSoft that has nothing to do with Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, which was released by GameMill in 2003. IceWelder [] 07:16, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Plenty of evidence on google that people use this exact term to refer to the target. Thryduulf (talk) 10:44, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Thryduulf: Could you clarify which evidence you found? The only thing I got is this Amazon page of a completely unrelated game. The widely accepted short form of Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing is simply "Big Rigs", and we have multiple redirects for that already. Regards, IceWelder [] 15:33, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    What about these? J947messageedits 01:46, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@J947: In the cases of Destructoid and Gamekult, the string appears only once each in the comment sections and it is possible in both cases that the comments refer to the 2008 game by ValuSoft, not this one. The NYTimes' mention is part of an unrelated sentence ("... as big rigs racing along Hyperion Ave"). Based on the game I found in my previous comment, I'm changing the rationale: There might be readers actually looking for the 2008 game Big Rigs Racing that are automatically taken to a 2003 game that has nothing to do with their search query. IceWelder [] 07:16, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@IceWelder: sorry, I don't have time to revisit my prior searching (which was more than just putting the phrase into Google) and probably wont for over a week. Thryduulf (talk) 09:04, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Valid search term. The full name is quite long so this would seem a sensible thing for someone who forgot the full name to search for. A7V2 (talk) 00:41, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Delete per new rationale. I find it highly implausible that the comment in the article about leaving games in timecapsules isn't about Big Rigs Over the Road Racing, however that said there is in fact a different video game with the same name (although there is very little I can find out about it other than it exists: [2]). A7V2 (talk) 11:29, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Seems like a plausible shortened title. Steel1943 (talk) 13:48, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as helpful per above. J947messageedits 01:46, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Illuminism[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Illuminati. signed, Rosguill talk 23:06, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think this redirect should either be deleted or its target changed to Illuminati. A search on Google Books or Google Scholar for "Illuminism" reveals nothing discussing the Enlightenment; all the references seem to be to the occult or what appears to be some form of mysticism. The Wiktionary entry defines it as "[t]he principles of the Illuminati" and the Oxford English Dictionary has: "[t]he doctrine or principles of the illuminati … or of any sect so called; gen. a theory, doctrine, or practice which involves belief in or claim to extraordinary spiritual or intellectual enlightenment". Fwiw, the version of the page immediately before its conversion to a redirect made (vague, unsourced) claims of this general nature, but consensus at the talk page was apparently to redirect to Age of Enlightenment. I find that consensus perplexing based on the evidence above, and I think it would be a shame if readers were misled into thinking that the Age of Enlightenment was an occult movement.
