Neologism with no reliable source to support. Mys_721tx (talk) 16:01, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. The only hits I can find in English for this word are a seller on Amazon, genealogy and what I think is stainless steel manufacturer/fabricator, none of whom are notable and none of which seem to have any connection with Wuyue. There are some hits in Chinese using the search term "goetland" "Wuyue", but these seem to be all from Wikia and similar sites or complete gibberish. Thryduulf (talk) 16:31, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment This is a combination of words goetsu(ごえつ, 呉越) + land. Maybe this is original research. Hellozeronet (talk) 16:43, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - The term appears to be used in reliable print sources as a reference to a Swedish sub-region (nothing to do with Asia). See here. Maybe there's some kind of a lost-in-translation mix-up with Götaland? Or Gotland? More searching finds a lot of non-English references using the term in unclear circumstances. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 19:41, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It is just a follower of a fringe theorist attempting to spread influence on the Internet. This has nothing to do with the Swedish region. Also see the RfD page for said fringe theorist. -Mys_721tx (talk) 01:52, 9 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

DIII-D (fusion reactor)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. ~ Amory (utc) 01:17, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

DIII-D is a tokamak, not a fusion reactor. It is a device used to study processes that could help build a practical fusion reactor, but is not one itself. The name of the redirect may cause confusion and should be deleted per WP:RFD#DELETE2. -- AquaDTRS (talk) 01:31, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - It should be mentioned that redirects don't have to be strictly accurate so long as they're otherwise helpful. The distinction between a 'fusion reaction device' and a fully functional 'fusion reactor' is one that the average person is likely to not understand (or, at the very least, not be aware of). It makes sense to me to just leave the redirect alone. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 06:23, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hmm, that's true and I don't doubt that a redirect could be helpful at times. However, my concern was that the existence of the redirect could propagate a misconception if the 'fusion reactor' redirect was picked up by a search or if someone was trying to wikilink and chose the redirect instead thinking it was interchangeable (like when using the visual editor). I would have left it alone otherwise. -- AquaDTRS (talk) 09:17, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per CoffeeWithMarkets. The job of the redirect is to help people find the article they are looking for, even if they don't quite get the search term perfect or don't understand subtle differences. The article will clear up any misconceptions people using this redirect have, educating them as to their earlier mistake, rather than leaving them uncorrected thinking we have no article about the subject. Thryduulf (talk) 10:16, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete and create more useful redirects without the "reactor" part like DIII-D (fusion), D3D (fusion), D3D fusion? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:00, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • While some of those might be useful redirects, I would be much less likely to use them than the one nominated. Thryduulf (talk) 16:40, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was speedy deleted per G7. -- Tavix (talk) 02:26, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling error in "miniseries". This redirect has already been replaced with a correctly spelt one, and has no function. DBaK (talk) 00:23, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - I created that by mistake (meant to spell "miniseries"). Bennv3771 (talk) 00:31, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
