Not mentioned in the target, nor does it seem to have been mentioned at the time the redirect was created, nor is it mentioned in any other articles. Wiktionary lists a dialectal English meaning, but I don't know if a dictionary definition is necessarily what someone who searches for this is looking for. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 19:58, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • One conceivable target is Assling. – Uanfala (talk) 20:04, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment it's a nickname / running gag associated with Uhtred [1] but at this point that article reads like it was copied off a wikia page, full of cruft about relationships with other characters as subsections. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:08, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - This seems like a minor trivia point that wouldn't be used on Wikipedia anywhere, and so I'd rather that we just get rid of the redirect. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 04:54, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FORRED, no use retargeting to Latin pop either as this just means "pop music". - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 06:52, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep FORRED is not a good idea. Don't break links. Only delete redirects that are harmful, or extremely new. All the best: Rich Farmbrough, 01:27, 2 September 2018 (UTC).[reply]
  • Weak keep There are multiple references within the article about a "musica" so this leads me to believe this might be a useful translation. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:05, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Except that people searching this would still not be helped for the exact term is not mentioned. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 05:06, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep largely per Rich Farmbrough. A simple check shows quite a few non-article use this redirect. Regards, User:TheDragonFire300. (Contact me | Contributions). This message was left at 10:14, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - This doesn't seem particularly harmful, but it doesn't appear helpful either. I agree with deletion. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 06:02, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:FORRED, pop music is a common concept with no affinity with either Spanish or Portuguese language. Nowak Kowalski (talk) 13:45, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, -- Tavix (talk) 15:41, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete FORRED. The Spanish-language Wikipedia article on popular music opens with:

"La música pop (del inglés pop music, contracción de popular music) es un género de música popular que tuvo su origen a finales de los años 1950 como una derivación del traditional pop,. . .

(original links prefixed to preserve them)
So there isn't any special meaning in Spanish that the current target doesn't capture. It's not like, for example, Brega (Portuguese language). — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  00:43, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Major flops[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. -- Patar knight - chat/contributions 19:30, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is specific to films and other works.  — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  03:19, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - This can refer to box-office bombs in terms of film, but there's a lot of other ways for things to "flop". Television programs that get quickly cancelled come to mind. So does theater runs that come to a crashing end due to audience frustration. Given the ambiguity, I'd rather that we just let people search. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 07:24, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. WP:XY, but does not deserve a disambiguation page. wumbolo ^^^ 08:59, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as Flop covers all sorts of flopping. Major flops could refer to association football flops or basketball flops. No such media title called Major flops. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:17, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above --Lenticel (talk) 00:42, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Corporate right[edit]

Not discussed at target, probably should go somewhere else.  — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  00:50, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment No target is leaping out at me as being the perfect place for this, Corporatocracy is a possibility but much of that article is more about what I'd associate with opposition to views I'd describe as "Corporate right" than about the viewpoint itself, and more than a couple of the articles listed in that article's extensive see also section along with others like Corporatism and Corporate personhood are similarly OK but not really good. There is also the issue that articles about the rights of corporations outside the political sphere would also be not-implausible targets (e.g. Corporate law). Given the number of disparate silver medal level targets and the apparent lack of any gold medal ones, I'm leaning towards delete unless someone writes an article, but not strongly enough even for a bolded "weak" recommendation. My gut feeling is that a disambiguation page here wouldn't be viable, but I'm not opposed to one if others disagree. Thryduulf (talk) 01:13, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Delete. After thinking more about this, I think deletion is probably the only realistic option here. Thryduulf (talk) 16:53, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - There's a vagueness and lack of clarity to where I'd rather we just let people search. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 07:22, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. Could refer to corporate rights / corporate law. A bit of a neologism for now as well. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:19, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
