- Tunis Gulic Campbell Jr. → Tunis Campbell (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Redirect from son to father, but son is not mentioned in father's page. Son is mentioned in Romulus Moore but that seems too slight to be worth a redirect. PamD 23:18, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Delete - Too slight!--Dthomsen8 (talk) 00:42, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- I added son to father's page and targeted the redirect to the appropriate section. Son is notable in his own right as an elected Georgia representative, but at least he's noted as such in the targeted article along with the fact his prominent father campaigned for him. FloridaArmy (talk) 01:24, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Withdraw now that son is mentioned in father's article (and I've edited to name and bold him there). Redirect is now useful. Thanks, @Florida army:. PamD 06:58, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

- King Michael I Park → Herăstrău Park (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
No mention of this term in target article; no evidence for usefulness of this redirect. Target article mentions several previous names for the park, but nothing resembling this one. PamD 22:34, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Keep the redirect creator actually cited the redirect in their edit summary, and I've added the term to the article. -- Tavix (talk) 22:35, 27 April 2018 (UTC)

FBI raid of Michael Cohen's Office
[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was retarget to Michael Cohen (lawyer)#Federal investigation. Keep and refined to the relevant section in the target. (non-admin closure) TheSandDoctor Talk 22:57, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
- FBI raid of Michael Cohen's Office → Michael Cohen (lawyer) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Recently discussed at AfD and closed as delete and redirect, but there was insufficient input IMHO as to whether it should even be kept as a redirect. Propose deletion per WP:RFD#DELETE criteria 8. Title is sufficiently obscure (very unlikely it would be useful) and has no history to merge to target article. 198.84.253.202 (talk) 21:47, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Keep People will likely search for info on the raid, given its historical nature.Casprings (talk) 00:42, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Keep - Useful and notable redirect.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 00:46, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- It appearing in the news (and lasting a news cycle before then being quickly replaced by other sensational events) does not make the raid "historical" or notable. It's not useful because it is highly unlikely people will search for it using those exact terms (or terms close enough to it that the search engine would list the redirect as a result), and even if somebody does search for it (and it's much more likely they will search for "Michael Cohen", but I digress) this content already appears in Micheal Cohen's article. 198.84.253.202 (talk) 01:52, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Keep - Plausible search term, Google's filled up with results so I see no valid reason to delete. –Davey2010Talk 17:40, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

Ambiguous as there are other WikiProject banners for which this could redirect to, such as {{WikiProject Software}} and {{WikiProject Star Wars}}, unless "I created it first" is an acceptable rationale. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 19:32, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Unused and ambiguous. I don't know what it was originally used for but Template:WPD was deleted years ago. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 19:02, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Odd. Template:WPD was redlinked yesterday with a deletion history so I'm not sure how it exists now as being created in 2013. It should be included in this nomination. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 16:49, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

- Delete Template:WPd, shortcuts rarely (never?) are a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters.
KeepTemplate:WPD as it matches WP:WPD. Shortcuts are ambiguous by design; if ambiguity is a valid reason for deleting shortcuts, there won't be any useful shortcuts left. -- Tavix (talk) 01:41, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
- Upon further reflection, I'm changing my mind to delete both. Shortcuts like these in reader-facing areas should be discouraged as it creates a cryptic code when editing these pages and encourages some pretty extreme laziness. -- Tavix (talk) 03:25, 25 April 2018 (UTC)

- Template:WPDA → Template:WikiProject Disambiguation (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Ambiguous, far too many possibilities for DA on Wikipedia (e.g. WP:DA for duplicated article, and based on author's other shortcut creations Template:WikiProject Dance could be a just as likely target), while the easier to remember and comprehend shortcut, Template:WPDAB, already exists for this project. I also recommend the use of any of these shortcuts that already serve the same purpose. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 18:58, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Though toast is toasted bread and bread is toast before it is toasted, I'm not seeing how this is a likely search term, considering that bread is not raw itself. Steel1943 (talk) 18:10, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

- Keep – The redirect section states:
"A cake can fall, whereby parts of it sink or flatten, when baked at a temperature that is too low or too hot,[1][2] when it has been underbaked[2] and when placed in an oven that is too hot at the beginning of the baking process.[3] The use of excessive amounts of sugar, flour, fat or leavening can also cause a cake to fall.[3][4] A cake can also fall when subjected to cool air that enters an oven when the oven door is opened during the cooking process.[5]".
- This is entirely about the topic. North America1000 21:30, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

- @Northamerica1000: Unless the phrase "fallen cake" represents a specific subtopic by name, it's WP:NEO at best. Steel1943 (talk) 22:55, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- In the culinary world, the term has been used for at least a century (Here is a book source from 1918 that uses the term). The redirect is certainly not serving to "attempt to use Wikipedia to increase usage of the term" (as per WP:NEO). Not in the slightest. The redirect is purely meant to direct WP:READERS to the article that covers the topic. North America1000 23:28, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Northamerica1000: Can you find a way to add it to the article in a valid encyclopedic fashion in bold font? Steel1943 (talk) 00:41, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
- Keep as it's covered in the target article. There are hundreds of results on google books and the half a dozen I checked were on that topic. I don't see a need for the target article's prose to attempt to explicitly mention all common generic variations of a phrase. – Uanfala (talk) 10:25, 23 April 2018 (UTC)

- Seating styles → Sitting (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Seating is a redirect to Seating assignment, and Seat is an article about the physical object which one sits on. For these reasons, the nominated redirects are misleading since the target article is about the act of sitting, not physical seats. Steel1943 (talk) 19:40, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Seating arrangement would be the best synonym for "seating style" [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] Unfortunately there is no article for arranging seating besides that assignment one. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:48, 12 April 2018 (UTC)

In addition to not being mentioned in the target article, the subject of these redirects is a song. So, delete since no information about these redirects' subject is in the target article. Steel1943 (talk) 19:43, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment When I were a lad, we called it Indian style, which redirects to the same place. Whatever the outcome is for criss-cross applesauce, the same should probably be done to Indian style. --Trovatore (talk) 21:01, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- Keep These redirects are doing what they're intended to. This was called Indian style when I was in school, but even then it seemed weird; teachers are using criss-cross applesauce for the little ones. As a recent parent, I hadn't heard this until a number of months ago, so I'd consider this useful, especially if refined to the "On the floor" section. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 11:05, 18 April 2018 (UTC)

Misleading, the target is not an EP. -- Tavix (talk) 01:12, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment it's described as a mini-LP so plausible attribution as an EP. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:20, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- I disagree. See mini-LP vs. extended play. -- Tavix (talk) 01:23, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Retarget to Another One since most readers probably don't know the difference between an extended play and an album. Steel1943 (talk) 17:01, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Another One (song) is a bizarre redirect; there were never any songs listed at the disambiguation. The Remy Ma song is not mentioned at her discography either. -- Tavix (talk) 01:10, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Delete Remy Ma until it is added to her discography or her bio, supposedly a diss track against Nicki Minaj. The song one can stay at the dab since they are tracks of the albums. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:24, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for checking, I've added the songs to the dab so there is sensible content and withdrawn the redirect. -- Tavix (talk) 01:37, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Tavix: What Angus just said was the reason I made Another One (song)—both albums listed at the dab page have title tracks called "Another One". "Another One" is a song by Remy Ma ([11]), I just assumed it was going to be added to her discography a year ago. I'll add it to her main page in the section about her feud with Nicki Minaj, as it's a diss track aimed at Nicki. Ss112 01:45, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- I've repointed Another One (Remy Ma song) to the section on Ma's talk page, where I added a bit about it. Ss112 01:51, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- That works for me. Please tell me you didn't do a lot of assuming like that when creating redirects, I hate it when redirects point somewhere without mention. -- Tavix (talk) 01:59, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- I did in the past, until I realised it could be construed as WP:OR, so I don't do it anymore—now I'm usually the one telling other users who create redirects to at least have the redirect mentioned at the target article. Ss112 17:15, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Redirect was a failed guess at the film's year--it was released in 2012, not 2008. -- Tavix (talk) 00:35, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment it could mean the play but then it should just read The Life of Pi (2008 play) AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:25, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
