Implausible typo. (talk) 19:12, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment "VII" and "VIII" are roman numerals, thus alternate representations of "seven" and "eight", so would not be typos. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:43, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Windows is not especially ancient Roman. They never used such branding. (talk) 08:57, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • True but Roman numerals are know by and still used by comtemory society so its not some obscure ancient language that it mostly unknown to the modern world. A problem though is that Windows 5 and Windows 6 redirect to Windows NT#Releases meaning that Windows V Windows VI and Windows Vi have an issue because they redirect to different locations. 7 and 8 do not have that issue though.--67.68.162.111 (talk) 00:39, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all per WP:R#DELETE criterion 8: obscure neologisms. I never saw a reference to plain Windows release by this name. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 20:35, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Added. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 20:48, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete apparently there was no such album, and redirects from individual discs are rather implausible. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 20:48, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete not a plausible synonym either for the target page or for Kristang people (where I just retargeted the sibling redirect Malays with European descent); apparently a term invented by a Wikipedian and used nowhere else. quant18 (talk) 09:19, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect was created by me under the false assumption that Abdi and Abidin could refer to the same person, which I now realize wasn't the case. Ithinkicahn (talk) 05:18, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not especially Georgian. TheChampionMan1234 04:45, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean in "not especially Georgian"? Jaqeli 12:11, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It means that Georgian isn't a major language of Turkey, and Turkey is not any more relevant to Georgia as China, Botswana or Brazil are. See WP:FORRED for more explanation. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 03:08, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Windows Technical Department[edit]

I retargeted Windows Technical Department phone scam to an article I created, which is Technical support scam, but I'm not sure if that's appropriate for this one. TheChampionMan1234 00:49, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I guess it could be confusing to have two similar redirects pointing to two different articles. I created this one some time ago after receiving several phone calls from people claiming to be from the "Windows Technical Department" and/or "the technical department of Windows" and was looking for further information. They should either both redirect to the new article or to Virus hoax. This is Paul (talk) 10:44, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Ultimate Showdown of ltimate destiny[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. As an established redirect, over 8 years old, WP:RFD#HARMFUL is applicable and this is a harmless redirect. NAC.The Whispering Wind (talk) 00:42, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Propose deletion since “ltimate” is not a word, nothing links to it, and it doesn’t redirect to the correct article anyway. 174.141.182.82 (talk) 00:14, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny. There's a bunch of edit history here, which may need to be maintained (and failure to strike a key is a commn typo anyhow). Note that no argument has been presented for deletion. WilyD 09:05, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per User:WilyD, and perform a history merge (if it isnt to cumbersome) Christian75 (talk) 09:39, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: it is not a cut&paste move, there was no merge, no other reasons to preserve revision history. While failure to strike a key is indeed a common typo, plausibility of this particular missing letter is not very high – stats suggest that even bots don't end up here too frequently, let alone human readers. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 21:29, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
