I think these redirects should be kept. There has been a recent effort to have it redirect to Todd Akin. I think this redirect gives the reader what they are looking for. Casprings (talk) 23:29, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep (?), by which I mean they should point to the relevant section of Rape and pregnancy controversies in United States elections, 2012. The Todd Akin article seems to use summary style in such a way that the relevant section of the "controversies" article functions as a sub-article of the Akin article, which goes into more depth than size and weight constraints on the Akin article would allow. It seems commonsensical for these to point to the target which contains substantially more information. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 00:38, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as they are, especially Legitimate rape. It is pretty obvious that someone who search for these specific topics should be redirected to the main topic about the controversity and not to the Akin's biography. Cavarrone 05:52, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Move - I see that CD did not notify anyone else about this discussion. The problem with the redirect to Casprings page is that the search if specific to Todd Akin. The Todd Akin page has the specific information regarding this issue along with a link to the broader category. This is little more than an attempt to direct searchers to Casprings personal work.   • Procedural Speedy Keep as pointed above a few hours ago the nominator deleted a previous discussion that was going to be closed as kept with the edit summary "withdrawing". Last month, someone moved the target article into three different namespaces; it ended up as a template and remained there until I moved it back a few minutes ago. This would qualify for G6, "Deleting pages unambiguously created in error or in the incorrect namespace", but it sat there for a few weeks; however, I don't see people searching for this target or typing the URL when they want the article. Last month, someone moved the target article into templatespace, but made a typo in the title, so after a few minutes it got moved to "history of ideas". Doesn't qualify for speedy, but nobody's going to use a redirect that's (1) in the wrong namespace, (2) just created a few weeks ago, and (3) only was the title of the page for a few minutes.
