CNR, rarely used (has been viewed twice in the past 90 days). Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 20:00, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy delete. The target was moved to the incorrect namespace (Wikipedia rather than article) and this redirect was created when that move was corrected. WP:CSD#G6 covers situations like this under the "pages created in the wrong namespace" portion of the criterion (this was explicitly endorsed on the talk page a few months ago). Delete this as a redundant redirect, and improbable search string. -- P 1 9 9   19:10, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - unlike other Filipino provinces, Mountain Province includes province as part of the name, making this a plausible search term. WilyD 11:28, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WD, it's just pedantic. -- 65.94.76.3 (talk) 23:42, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Victor Rask[edit]

A pointless redirect seemingly created for the sole purpose of grabbing the first edit on a page. I don't see value in redirecting a player who does not yet meet WP:NHOCKEY to a random article in which he is mentioned. After all, why this one? Why not List of Dinamo Riga draft picks? Or 2011–12 Carolina Hurricanes season? Or 2011 IIHF World U18 Championships? 2013 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships rosters? 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships rosters? List of Carolina Hurricanes draft picks? 2011 NHL Entry Draft? The truth is, nobody who searches for "Victor Rask" is expecting to go to any of these pages. It is therefore an implausible search term for any, and the result is only confusing and harmful to the reader. This should remain a red link until the player reaches the point where an article can be created. Resolute 15:16, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete No clear target. Non-notable person. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 16:29, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete No clear redirect target for non-notable player. -DJSasso (talk) 16:48, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - No WP:RFD#DELETE. The subject of the redirect is listed at the target page. The subject is not a likely candidate for a stand-alone article and, per WP:ONEEVENT, this is an appropriate redirect which is useful as it links the reader to the article where the person is mentioned. Dolovis (talk) 18:33, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
    • Erm, ok. Would you like to address the substantive point, or do you prefer to simply stick with your copy/paste boilerplate response, even though it does nothing to address my reason to argue the deletion of this redirect? Resolute 19:28, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. No clear target for this non-notable in which it has been unjustly speculated he will become notable. Hwy43 (talk) 19:58, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: Extremely implausible search term, one of several such Dolovis has made in recent weeks. Ravenswing 23:44, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jim Barrell[edit]

The result of the discussion was keep. WJBscribe (talk) 12:27, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, this redirect has existed for years based on other websites incorrectly reporting that Boris Zhukov's real name, Jim Harrell, being "Barrell" and this inaccuracy had spread to every language Wikipedia resulting in every edition referring to him as "Barrell", then spread to Wikidata. I really feel like this error needs to go. While it's just an error, this is resulting in multiple problems, even throwing Google off on their sidebar biography they take from Wikipedia [1]. Regards, — Moe Epsilon 05:12, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Incorrectness is not a reason to delete a redirect, indeed in cases like this where the incorrect name has been widely reported it becomes a very likely search term. The correct thing for us to do is to redirect from the wrong name to the article about the person people are looking for and educate them about the incorrect name in the article. If Wikidata is incorrect, then correct Wikidata but you don't need to delete the redirect to do that. Thryduulf (talk) 11:11, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - seems to be a common error, and beyond that, B and H are adjacent on a QWERTY keyboard, making it a plausible typo. WilyD 09:54, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Aedan[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Aidan (name). WJBscribe (talk) 12:27, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This one's kind of confusing. It redirects to mac Gabráin's article, but Áedán is a redirect to Aidan. We should be consistent here. Thoughts? Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 01:27, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
