What should the target be? Please note that the Palestine article is primary about the land, not the Arab nation.Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 23:08, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Retarget to Giant panda. Tikiwont (talk) 09:49, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me that the very clear primary meaning of Panda Bear is the Giant panda. I propose that this title be retargeted there, rather than pointing to the disambiguation page, or any other article. bd2412 T 20:23, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

  • Google web also shows a not insignificant amount of hits of not dissimilar prominence for Panda Bear (musician), but google books and google images clearly show the primary topic to be the giant panda, so I agree with the retargetting. I can't make up my mind whether or not the musician deserves a hatnote entry at the new target though. Thryduulf (talk) 00:58, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Giant panda with a hatnote to Panda Bear (musician).--Lenticel (talk) 01:52, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Giant panda, but no hatnote - the musician already appears on the disambiguation page. Ego White Tray (talk) 15:59, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Keep. Tikiwont (talk) 19:14, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Procedural transfer of nomination from AFD. Original AFD nomination rationale:

The correct name is “Ligue de Football de la Guyane”. The page “Ligue de Football de Guyane” is just a leftover redirect with the wrong name. Cf. this pdf. -- Dietrich Benninghaus (talk) 13:41, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy Keep Wrong deletion venue, would go to RfD. But note, as to the substantive question of deletion, it is traditional to leave redirects in place following a page move unless there is a good reason to remove it. Wrong name redirects are helpful, as anyone else mistaken about the name will be directed to the correct article. Furthermore this redirect still has a large number of incoming links. I would therefor suggest not relisting it at RfD and leaving the redirect intact. Monty845 16:01, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Besides the wrong venue issue, the fact that the page existed at the wrong title is a good indication that people sometimes think that the league has this name. Redirects are often in place for people who remember a name wrongly, and this is a good example. Nyttend (talk) 23:34, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, very plausible error. Siuenti (talk) 19:30, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Surely, many people don’t speak french. But a wrong name should not be conserved, because people think that the wrong is wright. That’s the way we handle it in the de-wikipedia. But: it’s only a suggestion. -- Dietrich Benninghaus (talk) 20:04, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Siuenti and Nyttend. On the English Wikipedia we routinely keep redirects after page moves to avoid creating link rot by breaking incoming external links and bookmarks, etc. I'll tag it with {{R from incorrect name}} and {{R from move}}. Penis Tower[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete. Tikiwont (talk) 09:52, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The target article doesn't mention the term at all. Presumably one of the episodes mentioned included a "Penis Tower" as one of its plot lines, but it doesn't seem to make this a useful redirect. As a side issue to this, my recent search for "Pennine Tower" came up with the line "Did you mean: Penis Tower" which is how I arrived here in the first place!  — Amakuru (talk) 01:53, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
