The result of the discussion was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 21:10, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seemingly all transclusions have now been updated to the new standardised names at {{Non-free use video cover}} and {{Non-free use poster}}. As such this redirect is now redundant for File namespace use and should be re-considered. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:22, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Question: Was this only ever transcluded? If people knew and used it, it might be good to keep around in case somebody isn't as up-to-date as the new naming system. What's the harm here in keeping it around? —mako 22:16, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Nominator's rational doe not meet any of the reasons for deleting redirects. And given that this was the former name of a template for years before it and similar templates was arbitrarily moved to a rather cryptic naming scheme, it would meet criteria #3 for Reasons for not deleting the redirect. The redirect will aid editors in finding the correct FUR template. —Farix (t | c) 16:45, 30 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. JohnCD (talk) 21:08, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Possibly the most pointless and confused redirect I've ever seen in all my years of editing. 81.135.94.72 (talk) 01:03, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - definitely a curiosity. I have been doing some digging to find some reason why this was created but have not come up with much. The redirect creator added content concerning weapons on 1/2 February 2007 and created several redirects including this one. What the 3.3 refers to is a mystery; the soon to be released Gears of War 3, for example, has a well-developed page but that was started much later. However, this redirect does get a surprising number of hits. I suspect that the hits though come from entering 'Gears of War 3' in the search box when this redirect is offered, along with the main article, and readers click this redirect to find out what is going on. At this stage, pending comments from others, I am suggesting 'delete' as confusing. Bridgeplayer (talk) 01:51, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tentative Delete - I'm also worried by the pretty steady stream of traffic. Bridgeplayer's attempt at an explanation above seems reasonable enough. If he's right about this traffic coming from confusion from the search completion box, deletion is definitely the best next step. —mako 22:18, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as a confusing redirect.--Lenticel (talk) 01:38, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
