The result of the discussion was Re-targeted to June bug. -- JLaTondre (talk) 20:34, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing. There's already a disambiguation for June bug; nothing links to this one, and what it redirects to isn't the only meaning. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 14:26, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disambiguate - the five June bugs that are insects can usefully be extracted from June page to aid navigation. Bridgeplayer (talk) 22:27, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The June bug page is fine, no need for a separate disambig. If kept redirect to June bug.--Salix (talk): 13:39, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to June bug. There's no real reason to delete, and there's no need to fork off a special DAB, particularly given the manageable length of June bug.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 06:30, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POVy redirect - controversial research is not a scandal. The term is not used by any reliable sources. Pontificalibus (talk) 09:25, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The scandal is not about the research itself but rather how NASA (and some of those who participated in the press conference) hyped it as having much to do with astrobiology. That a single paper was accepted for publication by a prestigious journal almost never results in a scientific revolution and the scandal is that these people knew better than to hype it so both before and during the media event. Does the science writer Michael Hanlon's Science Blog at the Daily Mail suffice? Admittedly, he find the reference hackneyed. Martin Robbins suggest that it is "a story of everything that's wrong about the relationship between science, peer review, the world of publishing, and the mainstream and independent branches of the media in 2010."--Debconcrea (talk) 10:09, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd agree with you if "arsenicgate" appeared in reliable sources, and if it was mentioned in the article. However, the blog you quote references another blog for the term which doesn't even mention arsenicgate at all, and I can't find any significant use of the term in reliable sources to describe the controversy over the "hype" you mention. On the contrary the term implies some sort of scandal, which doesn't appear to have occured. --Pontificalibus (talk) 14:22, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Golden Horseshoe roads project was upmerged into WP:ONRD. This redirect is for an implausible search term. Imzadi 1979  09:24, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as it was upmerged into the other project, people looking for the old project should be redirected to where it was merged to. 65.93.15.73 (talk) 06:12, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • The project ceased to be active long before the merger. (The last edits to the project before the scope enlargement in early 2010 were in 2007.) All other references to the defunct project have been sent to the appropriate XfD process for deletion if a CSD wasn't 100% appropriate. Imzadi 1979  07:22, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
